Careful what you're promoting lads, those photos were almost certainly illegally hacked. "It is extremely sad and unfortunate that the rights of so many women were violated by the unauthorized release of private photographs. "This act goes beyond the bounds of human decency and, as such, I stand united with all the women affected and am exploring every option to protect my privacy." Why take them of herself anyway, that's what I don't understand whenever these photos surface.

The thing which seems to me to have improved massively in the last 10 years is the standard of goalkeeping in the women’s game. Reminiscent of what happened in the men’s game when Yashin and Banks arrived on the scene.

Know what you are talking about - its in the public domain and as such is not protected ! If she was daft enough to think posting in the cloud made it secure then she is a bigger clown that she looks - she should have protected her "privacy" (in more ways than one) by a) not posting b) used a DMCA marking.

It’s not a legal issue I’m bothered about, it’s viewing her as a human being and respecting her wishes I’m thinking about. You can easily find all sorts of shite on the internet: footage of murders, kiddie porn etc, just cos it’s there doesn’t mean it’s morally alright to view it. Either way, that’s up to you, pal, just letting you know her side of the story.

Give over "pal" - she has a history of plastering her parts over the web - has been in chains in court and has courted controversy everywhere she has been...past misdemeanours have caught up with her. Tea and sympathy don't normally sit with Hope I am afraid..

Tea and sympathy don't normally sit with Hope I am afraid.. We clearly have differing views on what is and isn't personally acceptable. That in itself isn't necessarily a problem, but all I'll ask is that you don't use the "she deserved it" defence as an excuse to assault women in real life. I hope Karen Carney gets a fitting send off today as a great servant of the England team. Rightly or wrongly, she's been overlooked sometimes in this WC in favour of younger lasses like Mead and Daly. Was really surprised to see she's somehow only 31, too!

Great finish for Sweden's second but England have brought it on themselves with poor defending and taking an age to move it upfield from goal kicks. Huge task to turn this round in energy sapping conditions.

Not a clear and obvious decision. VAR gonna ruin the beautiful game.

Wouldn't mind but didn't look handball on either angle replay. Refs now just assume theyve missed something and change their minds. Show some backbone ref.

ref guessed that one...no one could see a postive handball from that...

So, England women have now achieved full parity with the England men. Flat back four, no midfield, one decent striker, unable to take penalties. I think, however, that overall the women are marginally more entertaining.

One could actually argue that they arer worse than last time out - no medal at all - a game too far......and not good enough - simple really

Bad start but the better team second half. They had momentum when the daft VAR decision ruled out the equaliser. It's clear they have work to do to reach USA who are the current benchmark.

When will they have VAR to monitor refs` performances,I ask myself.

I wondered at the time if there was a panel marking how well the VAR panel performed. It could go on forever...

VAR is ok most of the time, we could have done with it in the S Africa World Cup against Germany, albeit that ball was 2 yards over the line not 2mm... Offsides, goal line technology yes....but the goalkeeper moving a nano second before a penalty is taken, and obscure handball decisions ? Mind you we got a 50/50 decision against the USA but fluffed the penalty..(although i'd liked to have seen VAR check for encroachment)..

Not at all, I'm demonstrating how dangerous that kind of attitude can be. If you want more details, PM me. Really hope the Netherlands can beat the Yanks today, but struggling to see it happening. Might take some dodgy VAR decisions...

No real surprises in the final, USA confirming they are currently the best in the world and showing the level that other countries need to aspire to. Of course it's a huge country with a lot of girls and women (more than men) playing it and an established well financed professional league for girls to aim at.

Felt a bit sorry for van Veenendaal who had a great game and kept the Dutch in it for so long. But you're right, no surprises at all and they deserved to win it.

My only complaint is the lack of positional awareness in particular from the defenders, some of them don't have a clue where to be and when.
