That was worse than crap, totally clueless! Any permutation of our squad will play like that because we don't know what we're supposed to be doing!

I realise it's English, albeit in its crudist form Ffs, don't read it then. I'm not responsible for you being offended by a word. If you're offended, then that's your problem. Ok, sorry to bother you. Your right I should try and avoid reading your venomous bile in future UTT

Couldn't watch the game, just seen the result.... Player ratings/ mini match report anyone? Think Lincoln had 8 shots before our first. Of those Ryan made five good saves. We then had a decent 10 mins with about 5 shots. Their keeper made a couple of decent saves Second half we hardly created anything They scored with about their 12th shot We huffed and puffed. Mounie could have had a penalty and missed a gobber of a header. Our 10m winger was dreadful but he wasn’t on his own Not sure what the plan was or what sort of formation we were playing. Players looked scared , when you consider the average age that can only be coming from the manager Time for change before we end up in a rut

Couldn't watch the game, just seen the result.... Player ratings/ mini match report anyone? Van la Parra was awesome. The rest were shite. Schofield made some cracking saves. Kicking worse than Coleman’s. Edmonds Green had a few dodgy moments but showed some potential class. Bacuna abysmal. The rest looked scared of making mistakes, hence they went and made countless back passes and played each other into awkward situations. Payne played like a man with a point to prove, brilliant. As was Raj. Mounié looked glad to get a song from the crowd and did ok with his fleeting bits of service, stonewall penalty when he was knocked flying horizontal midair. A fully deserved win for Lincoln against a side that looked like they’d just met this evening. The subs should have started tonight.

Noooooooooo He is still here Young players hung out to dry by the manager. Everyone expected changes, but that was pretty much a youth team. And he has the gaul to say he protects his young players. I've had enough of this guy now, he needs to go.

Bacuna caught me and his team out tonight by constantly refusing to play a simple pass, he compounded this by 'dancing'round the ball when either he had it or was about to get it and trying to play the opponent instead? It was mystifying to me and I have seen some weird performances over the years. The rest looked like lads who have rarely played together and have a confidence issue. I know he is not here but it did remind me of a load of overplaying and not much else under Wagner. The depression at the club runs deep. Decent cameo from VLP and a missed header from Mounie. Good to see we can still outnumber the opposition by a shit load in our box and still allow one to mooch in and score. It's bad but really not much worse under this bloke to how the last ended up. If Bacuna plays Friday then we have deeper issues than I thought. Nobody has ever asked a player to 'perform' like that, it was very odd?

Was disappointed he didn't start, but after that pantomime of a first half, I thought he'd be certain to start the second half Something's very much amiss when a player of his quality isn't starting a game like that.

His first 3 displays have been very strange. Looks like someone whose head isn't in the right place That thing he does when he attempts to shield the ball but the opposition just run around him is very weird to say the least. You'd have thought he would stop trying it given the outcome is nearly always the same

I've had enough of this guy now, he needs to go. And yet if he said the players did well etc you'd be saying how deluded he was. It was a bad performance from the sounds of it. There was no fight. That youth team is our 2nd team. That's how thin our squad is. He can't do anything about that when players are sold from under him. But anything to give the guy another bash I guess.

Couldn't watch the game, just seen the result.... Player ratings/ mini match report anyone? Scofield 6; some impressive saves but still needs to work on his distribution. Kicking was awful. Didn’t find a man once. Bacuna 3; Should have bossed this game but gave the ball away too much. Picked up his usual yellow card for immaturity. Chalobah 6; made some good runs forward. And looked good on the ball. Although I wonder how he will play against the best in the Championship. Kachunga 4; Was slow in pace today and didn’t seem up for it in first half. Showed some improvement near the end. Bockhorn 4; Didn’t look interested in first half. Lightweight into 50/50s. Showed some interest in second half, but I’m worried if we have to rely on him due to injuries in first team. Mbenza 2; Created nothing. Pulled out of 50/50s looked knackered and couldn’t be bothered. Koroma 4; Again could not create, did not fight for the ball. No where near good enough for Championship. Would much rather still have Jack Payne or Joe Lolly in the squad than him. R. Brown 3; completely lost in midfield. I couldn’t tell if he was playing at all. Couple of good passes and one shot that went near. Stankovic 6; Not a bad performance from Jon. He did what was required of him. Won key headers and made important clearances. Will be a good backup for centre back if needed. J. Brown. 4 Too lightweight and pulled out of 50/50s too much. Nothing showing going forward. And caught out of position a few times. Looked much better and confident when Rajiv came on. Edmonds-Green 5; Decent debut. Still has a lot to learn, but coped well with big centre forward. But nowhere near a Championship standard. Van La Parra 7; Held up the ball. Kept possession. If he had been on from the start he would have either scored or assisted. Some loose crosses. But we looked ALOT more threatening with him on the pitch. Needs to Start on Friday. Mounie 6; Good holdup play and seemed a threat. But too late to do anything. Won headers from crosses. But missed the target. Should have played from the start. All in all we were shit. Kept on giving the ball away. No ideas going forward. Didn’t look like we had any sort of plan. Looked knackered and it felt like the first pre season match. First shot on target after 40 minutes. Not good enough. Nothing from Siewert to suggest he had any ideas to change it.

I’ve thought Jan has been doing a poor job for a long time now but what an over reaction from the fans tonight. The odds for Town to win before the teams came out was 2/5 after the teamsheets 11/10. To anyone that doesn’t gamble that means we had less than a 50/50 chance of winning that game in 90 minutes.
I totally support the team selection (apart from vlp not starting) as we have a more important game Friday. Losing was no surprise at all, we looked like a team that had never played together, this will be because they haven’t.
Jan has been terrible so far but tonight is nowhere near his worst result.

Anyone else put money on Lincoln as backup to lessen the disappointment? After seeing the mess at Loftus Rd, I put a tenner on 0-2. Double disappointed

“We face Fulham on Friday and we will have a different squad on the pitch.”#htafc
Credit where credit is due this strikes me as an excellent idea. Instead of just playing with 11, we start with the whole squad on the pitch! It might just give us a chance!

For anyone not old enough to remember the 1970's....
Town win promotion to the top division, start really well and are top of the league after the first couple of games.
After losing form we hold it together and manage to hold off the threat of relegation.
After failing to invest in the summer we have an awful second season and are eventually relegated after finishing in last place. Our star players move on and we fail to find adequate replacements.
We, the fans, console ourselves with a strong belief that we will at least be a big fish in division 2... we expect to be promoted again at the first attempt.
Are you with me so far? Do you know what happened after that?
Conclusion - we are in for the best part of 10 awful years until Mick Buxton's grandson steps in.
Never mind, we will rise again in 46 years from now, just in time for my 113th birthday.....

I was commenting on the feeling of deja vu to a Brighton supporting mate of mine today - he was genuinely sympathetic about our predicament Bugger

Seems crazy that the team’s fight is in question. They were basically all fringe players so should have needed no more motivation than trying to get a first team spot. Just as likely they didn’t have a clue what they were supposed to be doing

The Championship is a bloody hard league. To think that you can compete with lower league kids and a German 4th division defender is lunacy. Once again we are saddled with a small time, small minded, tight fisted Yorkshireman chairman who doesn’t have the vision to understand that we have to reinvest money to continue to generate income. Deano aside that’s been the route problem of our club for the last 50 years.
