i have been trying to work out why we suddenly have no money and all I can think is that DH has insisted that he is paid back all his money previously invested. Prior to DH selling the club I posted that there was a due diligence process being undertaken by an American consortium. It’s only supposition but I wonder if the Americans would not agree to pay DH back his previous investment as they needed the money to invest in the team?
On the other hand Phil ( who is hard to like) was so star struck by being given the opportunity to take over agreed to refund DH his previous investments from the parachute payments and picked up the club with his total available monies, on the basis that he thought we could survive in the championship with the players we have until the second and third parachute payments kicked in, hence we have no monies this season to improve the team.
its just a thought as we are getting a £42m parachute payment this year we got £20m from the sale of players, wages have been chopped due to relegation, but we are told we have no money (which I find hard to believe) despite making a profit last year. I don’t suppose we will ever know

Somethings not right. You can’t spend two years in the Premier League with by far the lowest wage bill then come down and be skint.
We’ve sold off 4 of our biggest earners when Mounie goes and replaced them with lads on 1/10 of their salary. All the other lads in the squad with considerable wage cuts after relegation.
Phil needs to organise a Q&A as soon as to answer these questions. Those who say it’s none of our business - it bloody well is. We’ve totally fucked a once in a generation opportunity at the big time and questions must be answered. The irony is we always said we shouldn’t overspend in the premier league to avoid doing a Sunderland/Portsmouth. This club is so badly run we’re going to plummet on a shoestring!

We’re suffering from naivety. I have no doubt in the rumoured plan of a ‘3 window transition’, but we were naive in thinking that this squad of players were good enough, after getting absolutely battered for the best part of 2 years. We needed championship proven players to give them a kick up the backside. But we haven’t and surprise surprise we can’t get out of the losing mentality we’ve built.

Our new chairman has already said the first years parachute payment has gone. If you ever bothered to read what is posted without just being a dick, you might be able to cut your postings by 99% and one day say something positive instead of posting the shit you do far to frequently.🤐 |

Nonperforming is probably more accurate. If I was MH last night, I would have fucking walled up Mbenza in the dressing room. There is a fundamental difference in playing poorly and not trying. |

My point is, if you want to act the big man asking ‘where are all the tough questions?’ You then need to be prepared to back that up and face into them when things are heading south quickly. My point is, if you want to act the big man asking ‘where are all the tough questions?’ You then need to be prepared to back that up and face into them when things are heading south quickly. I'm sure if you and your mates asked him the money questions again he would answer them again . I can't be doing with the bloke and don't know him from Adam so he may a complete charlatan BUT he was chosen by Dean Hoyle , he is a town fan , he isn't skint, and the club aren't skint. Some of the players have been a disgrace. Billing seemed to kop for it all off our social media bully boys . But it goes far far deeper than that . Like it or not it's a bi product of signing (mainly ) foreign players who want to play in the prem and the brass that brings .. 're Mbenza we made a mistake signing him permanently IMO based in last season, a big mistake. Who made that decision? But the fact we spent over 10m on him pours further cold water on the "we are potless" nonsense |

Stop making stuff up ffs you're an old man behaving like an 8 year old Yes, window closed is a fact, but while it is silly it the sense that the time has passed so we can not go back and change what has happened, a valid question is why at least some money, NOT ALL NOT EVEN A LOT, but why SOME money was not spent to bolster the squad. Personally I do not see the "conspiracy theory" type hyperbole that is being flung around, but I do see there are some legitimate areas of concern and reasonable questions surrounding how the Club has handled the current affairs. EDIT - just read a couple of your other responses, and actually quite agree with your points TBF. |

We will never know how the clubs being financed how much phill has or hasn't got if deano is going back on previous comments of not taking anything out of the club.
Who knows how the takeover happened and how it's being financed.
The club will tell us what it wants.
We maybe potless we may have a little war chest.

There are lots of good coaches out of work or at lesser clubs or on lesser money. The problem is with bosses is that there are no guarantees . But I agree we have been pathetic and it's a huge huge job and the most important appointment since Wagner |
