On reflection this could have gone in the ex players thread. Admins please move. I notice he says “they” instead of “we”, speaks volumes.

Everything he says is true though. Kick and stamp all you like. People forget we were fighting at bottom of champs after only just getting promoted a few years before. We got lucky - a miracle even. Of course we weren't ready or up to standard - TBF C or D, I don't see anyone making out he's wrong. As you say, of course we weren't ready. What people think is a bit rich is the lack of effort he put in in that second season and the fact he wasn't even professional enough to stay fit.

He may have been a lump last season but he’s right with most of that. Could have been worded better but for God’s sake, not enough parking spaces for cars...that’s conference level. It was a big step and we weren’t geared up for it, like it or not it’s the truth.

Most of what he says is spot on . But im also spot on in saying he was a fat lazy useless waste of space disguised as a (semi) professional footballer. The fact he earnt as much in his second season in a week as most on here do in a year ahould be a source of permanent embarrassment which follows him to his grave. The fact it wont is the measure of the man Bloody Hell, you have changed your tune. Thought he was our best ever striker?!! He is a beast but could not trap a bag of cement. Done plenty at lower levels...never made the step up because he is a monster and not a footballer.

I could agree with him had he been a stand out player and been too good for us, scoring goals etc. But after his decent first season all he did was have his knob up that fit bird in the Maldives in some jacuzzi pool. Tbh I don’t blame him You say that like it's bad thing? Thing is we can all slag him off but there was no service and he did well to score as many as he did considering.

First season, yes I reckon at times he was as good as we've had (not a high bar to be fair ) . Second season we could have exhumed Terry Eccles and he'd have done as good a job. But if you're suggesting I was Wrong then here goes.. I WAS PROBABLY WRONG. And do you know what Oti it's quite cathartic. You should try it sometime ;-)

we were not ready for the premier league and we're suffering for it now.
it's almost as if the club just thought 'wow we've made it' and then just enjoyed the ride while it was all falling apart on the training pitch and players fitness was going down the toilet.

No its not and he didn't cover himself in glory but last season was utter dog shit and even Ronaldo and Messi would have struggled to score in that team.

Last season he was stealing a living. Taking massive amounts of money from our club and putting no effort in at all to earn it. I thought he was a disgrace frankly.
He was on the next table to me and my family in a restaurant earlier this year with his girlfriend/wife. He put as much effort into his date as he did playing for Town. He looked bored, she looked bored. They barely spoke.
Its probably true that we werent ready for the prem but why would we be? No one expected it.. even thought it was possible really.

He was an embarrassment last season. Miles worse than Mounie in my view who was at least hurt at his and the teams performances. I lost all affection for him when he made a noisy exit from the car park in his R8 at half time when his team mates were toiling against the odds again. It was literally as though was saying “look at me, being paid a ton of money for being a useless bastard, and loving it”.

Did you not read the last part Art? “Tbh I don’t blame him” I’d rather shag Susan Boyle in a bath of Haggis in Aberdeen than watch this shite so far this season

I wonder what she saw in the dull as ditchwater , millionaire, lazy prick?

It's a shame when an ex player, who was paid a very large salary, has to take a swipe at the club to justify his poor performance.

No parking spaces. WTAF??
Fat lazy twat (sorry for the language)
Gave up and stole twelve months worth of prem wages
Could have paved a good career in England if he had enough balls. Turned out he was a waste of space
