Criticising any of our strikers for not scoring enough goals last season is akin to telling the groundsman the grass is too long on the pitch when all he's got to cut it is a pair of scissors. I think we're all criticising him for turning up at the start of last season a big, fat, unfit c***. His lack of goals probably stemmed from his lack of desire and lack of professionalism. Exactly and his comments just confirm his weakness of character, same as billing. Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards

In the bogs at work, one seat has been pulled off and some animal occasionally covers another one with toilet paper before use and leaves it there afterwards. Can I use that as an excuse to not turn up now and again Laurent and put in a poor perfomance when I do?

Lolo is right, and Webber was right too when he said we have a League 1 set up. That’s who we are, but I’m still proud of my club. Wagner and Webber gave us a miracle, Hoyle struck lucky. Now we’re back to our usual crap situation, but hopefully we’ll get lucky again. We've always lacked ambition, let's do it on the cheap and just enough to get by, that'll do us! When you think back to the promotion season (nearly messed that up) we should've brought a goal scorer in, in January but we didn't want to spend money "just in case". If we really want the big rewards we're going to start and have to take some risks.

So, he's said our training facilities aren't up to scratch, which they aren't, and it was frustrating playing ascs line striker under Wagner, which is obvious.
Nowt he's said is incorrect is it?

They both missed chances every single time they played. Every single time. Ldp at home to scouse- on a plate from Lowe. Fatty hits it straight at keeper. They go up the other end and score from a deflected shot. Ldp and Moonie were not fit to wear the shirt.

Grant isn’t a brilliant player but he came from league one & showed that if you can finish, you can finish in any league.
If we’d had him in 2017 we’d still be in the prem now.
Fatty and shitty’s inexplicable level of ineptitude is what cost us our place.

Our training facility isn't up to standard, and Wagner's system made it hard to score goals. Strikers that don't miss chances in the premier League have a similar value to Switzerland by the way.

Aye when he could be arsed he was decent, never won us any points though did he, LDP may have turned into a fat useless, lazy cart horse but at least he gave us some unbelievable moments. Billing strolled around looking like he might be a class footballer but never actually delivered anything of note, even in the promotion season.

Something I don't know is how many chances does a "proper" striker in the PL need to score a goal? Are there some stats that show this info? Eg: the little Egyptian scored about 20 goals over a season for Liverpool - how many did he squander?
On a more upbeat note: I remember the way LDP barged the England centre half aside to score against Leicester City as one of the highlights of our time in the PL. I even thought at that point that we may be able to survive for a few seasons....
Good luck to him at his present club.
And, more importantly, good luck to the lads at Luton tomorrow

Billing strolled around looking like he might be a class footballer but never actually delivered anything of note, even in the promotion season. That’s not accurate or fair. Billings breakthrough season was last time out. It’s not his fault others didn’t perform. For albeit a brief period our midfield was a bonefide prem midfield. Billing did win us points- against Everton what should’ve been a winner but for woeful lossl keeping and inept defending we gifted them a free header from a corner. He didn’t give up until Jan came and treated him like a nothing. I blame Jan at least 50% for that. Useless clueless twat. Billing was worth the entrance fee on its own sometimes such was his level of play at times. Ldp rounded de gea well. That’s about it for me. The rest was just missed sitter after missed sitter and lazy jogging. Give me Duncan shearer, boothy, Abbott, Stewy, Wijnhard, or Rhodesy over this chump any day. Billing also earned £15M for the club- would’ve been nearer the £30m he was worth had it not been for a Jan. Ldp left us with depts and some abuse in the paper.

Canalside car park didn't make him fat. Unless it's rutted surface provided him with more excuses to park up. Next door and sample the Colonels fayre

There really should be accountability for whose decision it was to sign who and fans should then vote them to retain their positions at the club or face a sanction- no pay bonus etc. Who the fuck went to watch ldp and thought “that’s our man!” That’s the guy who will get 15 goals and set an example to other players. It looks more like an agent sold him to one of our more gullible operators within the club to me. Man he was shit. People get sacked for such incompetence, except in government. I believe he was dealt with. David Moss. Read and digest. DAVID MOSS SACKEDWagner or Moss, either way its over.
Lolo, Diakhaby and Mbenza were all from the Mossys list.

He was full of criticism for the club, but took no responsibility for his own pathetic performances. Had he accepted some of the blame then his other criticisms may have carried more weight (if you pardon the pun). Surely you can see that? He comes across as graceless and lacking any class. One of my favourite players in his first season, now overjoyed to see the back of him.

What about you all taking some responsibility for the present situation ? What do you think about those unnecessarily offending and insulting remarks about all the players on social media ? Do you really think it is supportive and encouraging for players who are already having a tough time ? Strikers need confidence and service. Without service, no goal and without goal, no confidence ! You think that last year he suddenly became the mere shadow of his former self - just like Steve, by the way ? No, Tom Ince and VLP left and they were not replaced. Who could play as a lonely targetman amid a PL defence without any service ? And FYI, Laurent has not lost a pound whatever you think but he has already scored 6 goals (+ 2 assists) in 5 games. Oh yes, in a shit league ? Gent is the very same team that eliminated Tottenham of the Europa League, or Valence and Lyon of the Champions League and won against the F.C. Zenit.

Im slightly taller so he wouldn’t scare me if that’s why you’re getting at to people here? If someone said to him he’s shit, fat and lay to his face and he retaliated, then that speaks volumes. He obviously wouldn’t, but the bloke isn’t scary in the slightest to look at. So I don’t get your response here, people are saying what was true last season?

Hi Laurent good to have you on DATM. Some questions: - What in your opinion are the main differences between English and Belgian mayonnaise? - Who would win in a fight between you and Big Phil (The Potless) Hodgkinson? - Is Jan Siewert a good football coach? - Is Ramadan Sobhi a fictional character? Thanks in advance
