Would it be worth having this thread pinned, like the youth team thread?

I'm trying to work out how someone married to an ex player could post the sexist crap he did all through the WC 🤔😉 It confuses stupid people - are you confused ?

Still awaiting confirmation here (Scr)otium - dont keep my better half waiting now ! It was a friendly in 1995! What do you want...a signed pennant and some DNA?? Get a grip man...I cant even remember my team mates names never mind some birds from Batley. Ask Mark Lillis...he will confirm it....it was part of our training regime before we played at Wembley..in fact a couple of Town ladies went with us. Let me guess the kit person was called "Walter Mitty" - your talking sh!te (Scr) Otium

PL teams are having their ladies teams playing ahead of their own matches to improve take up etc.
Wonder if Town would consider the ladies playing at the Stadium before a Town match, certainly on a Saturday?

Are you sure? I know the women's teams played at the Prem grounds during the international break, but none of 'em were curtain raisers.

Town did it at the old ground

Would it be worth having this thread pinned, like the youth team thread? Yes, absolutely. It looks like the Town lasses are on to something good and their inclusion in our community's footballing consciousness would be another step towards HTAFC becoming a real force at the top table of English football.

The ladies teams are making an effort to avoid the days of their respective clubs men's fixtures.

I know and understand what you mean but surely playing to a wider audience would enlarge the chance of bigger crowds turning up to Storthes Hall in the future

Your comment implied that the ladies will play curtain raisers at the JSS. That's 100% not happening in the modern women's game.

No, I meant they used to play at Leeds Road occasionally either before or after Town (forgotten which) and I've seen it mentioned (rather than it being a definite) that it could happen in the WSL

I’m certain I read this Summer that Chelsea and others are or at least considering having their Ladies teams play as forerunners to their games. Can’t recall where I read it, possibly BBC Sport website.

Got beat 1-4 at home to Sunderland today.
Sunderland unbeaten and three points clear at the top of the league.

Lost 2-1 at Forest today. Conceded 2 daft penalties in the first half, had a spirited go in the second, got one back, but just needed a bit of luck that never came our way.

still no reply from "the man that has done it all" - I wonder why ? Could be that I have a life....flown 6 times in the last week.....and again tomorrow. If I prove I played against Huddersfield ladies in 1995 with a cast-iron witness can I claim my prize. There are some showers of shit on here. I don't tell lies.

Have to agree about the "showers of shit" on here - I think you woould probably qualify under "Monsoon of Shit" - almost top level (Deluge is the highest you can attain) Love to hear the name of the witness - Not called Walterette Mitty by any chance ?

Mark Lillis....Town legend....who played in the same match for the ladies. Pretty solid witness yeh? I have more. You question my life as your own feeble existence will not allow for others to expand a little. Never posted an untruth...never will.
