If confirmed, who among the training staff will have to go. Would they bring some of their own mates? I hope so. Get rid of Hudson and the rest of the remaining first team staff from the Wagner/Siewert regimes. Not sure what staff they have or who will go? Assume being bigger club and setup they will need more at town anyway, so maybe opportunity for some to stay? |

Deserves a pat on the back and a fresh start now!   I agree, I think he's been battered a bit and I was one of those people. I think there are things they aren't public knowledge regarding this chairman change and he's managed to get, in my opinion, a great young manager. It has made me look forward to the next game which hasn't been the case for a long while. |

Shame he didn’t approach them in May...I wonder if he didn’t have control or had agreed to keep Jan the twat. It’s a rebuild job now but if they can get it right we’re still top 6 potential. Time to move forward now. All the infighting has to stop, our focus needs to be the remainder of the season. It’s not just about Sunday, although 3 points is welcome. It’s about the long term, they’ve given 3 and a half years to Lincoln and turned down other clubs like West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday. Phils got his men, maybe that’s why we didn’t spent a lot in the summer? Just a thought. As fans our focus needs to be back on positive energy, clean slate starts now. All the anti Phil carry on needs putting to bed and every player deserves a fresh start, our support has gone off the boil in the last 12 months but that was to be expected since the club forgot how to win. The cowleys wont have come here if they weren’t getting control of everything they wanted control of so Phil must be giving them support off the pitch so it’s up to us to give them the support on the pitch now.
I hope these two are real nasty c**** because we’ve been too nice for too long, you don’t become serial winners by being pleasant chaps. UTFT

We had a shortlist of four so it would be interesting to see who the other 3 were assuming that the "Cowleys" are just one of those four. Also I seem to remember Phil saying they would not consider anyone who had not applied for the job, so does that mean the Cowleys applied or Phil was trying to throw people off the scent. What ever its a very shrewd move to persist and get his dream team into place, and given how many young and exciting but not proven youngsters we signed the last trasnfer window it could be a master stroke if the new Manager can develope these in Championship players.
Its bloody great to see some positivity around the place no matter what happens Sunday after 18 months or so of unrelenting gloom. Also to be fair despite many moaning on here about the previous manager, Phil, the club, transfers etc the fans have still turned up and got behind the team most of the time, something you would not see with the plastic fans who "support" the big six in the prem who would run off to "support" the next big club they think will win something.

I think it is a terrific appointment but can we please remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day.
The deep-rooted issues which have led to 4 wins in 18 months haven’t all miraculously gone away. Change will take time. Dredging our horrible 0-0 draws and barely deserved 1-0 wins will be the order of the day. Keeping a clean sheet which we haven’t managed in over 6 months.
We need to really get behind these fellows and the whole team for game after game and not go into meltdown after every defeat.

What I heard around his departure (on loan) in the press was that he wanted to play in the top flight while he has the opportunity. I can only go on what was said in public. Think most Town fans would agree that the Crowley’s presented the best possible option for the rebuild job ahead and therefore PH had to move heaven and earth to get them in.
We’ve clearly pain hefty compensation and they will be on a good deal. Patience is required as they won’t transform the place overnight. Equally they have a reputation for doing things their way.
Be interesting to see which footballing staff survive on all fronts. Tough gig for them to take and they will definitely fit the community bill as played a big part
Ok that front in Lincoln and sensible appointments and let’s hope it’s the start of better times.
Hard not to smile at PH statement. Why do fish and chips always have to have salt and vinegar on them. He needs to learn quickly to time things down a little on that front as still some choppy waters to navigate and he will still come in for his share of stick. These guys won’t suffer fools so hope we deliver on promises or they won’t be about for long.

And took it to a whole new level of death threats so I’m led to believe. Yes, up to now Phil hasn’t bathed himself in glory. His tenure so far has been shaky to say the least, but the guy has come good with these lads. They are not the safe option. They are not a journeyman on the management roundabout. They keep with our recent trend of something different. If what he says is true, he battled hard and paid decent coin to get them to come here, and for that I believe he does deserve a pat on the back and a chance to start a fresh with a blank page. |

I sense he publicly backed Jan but privately wasn’t sure and kept the purse strings tightly closed. These boys are his targets. His success at getting them here.
