If confirmed, who among the training staff will have to go. Would they bring some of their own mates? I hope so. Get rid of Hudson and the rest of the remaining first team staff from the Wagner/Siewert regimes. You are not in a position to know whether that is the right thing to do or not. If it likely is, I'm sure it'll happen. If not, it may be Cowley's appreciate an insight, Hudson for example, may be able to bring to the table. You know, that Wagner had the occasional good idea, which Hudson has lived and breathed.

Cowleys turned down west Brom last season and sheff weds this. Great ambition shown by the club to get their man. Not bad for an asset stripping thief who is willfully orchestrating our descent to league one. Some of our fans have been an absolute disgrace in the last month in my opinion (edited) About time you edited that post, disgraceful to tarnish all town fans with the same brush. Disgusting.

I would think certain promises on funding for new players were given to persuade them to eventually come, it needed a new start from top to bottom, nothing has improved as yet but I feel much more optimistic.

He doesn’t say VLP was one of our 3 best players, just that he was one of our best players. Do you think VLP was one of our worst players?! What does '3 of our best players' mean in your world then? Same as it does to most people. 3 of the best players, NOT our actual 3 best players.

Sold our best players? Are you drunk? Not yet bro.. Billing.. Mooy.. Vlp.. 3 of our best players.. He hasn’t sold Mooy. VLP was our best player on DATM for about ten days - until we saw him play again. That leaves Billing. I think Billing’s great, but he was never going to stay. Kongolo, Schindler, Hogg, Grant, Bacuna were all arguably more important to keep around. Maybe you prefer crystal meth? I don’t judge....

I’m buzzing. Finally some optimism this season! The Cowley’s seem bright, ambitious and considered. It looks like we are certainly not the first to approach and the fact they have come on board means they must have confidence in Big Phil.
I’m just hoping we have ‘bottomed out’ and to be fair being (2nd) bottom of the league there is only one way to go! So pleased to be optimistic about the future again as things just seemed to continue sliding before.
My first wish is that they improve our threat from set pieces. We must get 10+ corners and dangerous free kicks a game yet deliver little on this front. Hopefully a bit of organisation all round will see us climbing the league. UTT

Our new chairman deserves a huge amount of credit for what he has done so far , I have said before “he inherited a huge shit sandwhich” and I bet if he had not been a true supporter he would have thought “Stuff this” , I assert strip it - well for me he has proved he is a lifelong fan and truly in this for the right reasons.
He inherited (in my opinion) the worst manager in towns history and yes I include Wandsworth .
Within his first 6 weeks he sacked him , he will have had to pay off all the contracts of the management team of this truly awful appointment , Winkler , Bell and of course Siewart himself , massive headache , huge problem to deal with and he dealt with it , not cheap but our new chairman took action , I repeat not cheap.
He then set a list of who he thought would be best for Huddersfield Town - top of this list were the Crowley brothers, my top list was same plus moyes.
The mangement team of Danny and Nicky were also top of the list for West Brom and Sheffield Wednesday, the Cowleys turned them down.
This management team right now are hot property,a number of big clubs wanted them - who did they choose ‘Huddersfield Town’ , why , because our new chairman went full on to get who he (plus thousands of fans) wanted to get our club back on track........ no cheap option , he went for who he thought was the best .
The best has not come cheap , our new chairman has dug extremely deep , he has been ethical and compassionate to Lincoln City and paid a good club it’s full recompense , to follow this he has then offered the new management team a contract that is enough (huge) to get them on board but not only this he has convinced (and quite rightly as we are a tremendous solid club with a outstanding fan base) the brothers that their journey of success can be shared with his and to the benefit of Huddersfield Town
Nothing plotless here.
Tremendous Phil - you could not have done more......thank you.

I am also absolutely delighted with these appointments and well done Danny for insisting on the position of manager and not first team coach (been there, done that). He needs to have first say on all recruitment.
Thanks Phil for a real statement of intent, well done.

Get rid of Hudson and the rest of the remaining first team staff from the Wagner/Siewert regimes. Give Hudson a fecking break. He took charge under difficult circumstances and over those three games performance levels improved and even though results didn't he deserves a bit of respect and loyalty.

I’m impressed we’ve landed the Cowley’s. Obviously Phil worked hard to make it happen, and you’ve got to admire his determination.
Phil and the board still not completely off the hook for me. They’ve left us woefully short on quality/in form players for this period until January. Unfortunately those decisions could still cost us dear if we’re cut adrift before then.
It’s going to be a huge challenge for the new management team to get us out of this rut with the existing playing staff. To be outside the bottom 3 come Xmas would be a good start.
Of course there are several very good players to work with but a good number of weaknesses that we’ll have to negate in the short term. I wish the Cowley’s luck. Their positivity alone could unite the players and fans once again and that could get us the points we desperately need in the short term.

Basically all the first team coaching staff.

Whitehead led the U23s to a 4-0 victory against Oxford tonight by the way, with Danny Cowley in attendance.

I will have a slight rant as a bloke who disliked the man after certain things in regards to transfers etc. After today and what we all wanted, how he’s battled to get these in, if you’ve still some grudge and are reluctant to wipe the slate clean with these two in the seat, you need to seriously sit back and chill your fucking beans. I wasn’t his best fan, with me everything is forgotten and the slate is clean. He’s obviously promised them things and paid a pretty penny for them. Let’s all sing from the same hymn sheet, clear your negativity and pour a fresh pint. If not, fuck off. ☺️

Dont mean to be the party pooper here but because its who phil wanted doesnt mean its a genius appointment and we should all hang the bunting out.. Cowley has only managed in lg 1 for a month.. His previous experience being non lg and lg 2.. Hes not pep guardiola.. Its a bit early to start slapping phil on the back.. Granted hes a promising young manager.. But.. Lets not get carried away.. We are still in trouble.. I hope hes the man to turn us around.. But thers a lot of work to do..

Great appointment today but it still doesn't alter the fact that PH presided over another shit show of a transfer window in the summer. Today he's started to redeem himself, but he has to back these lads to the hilt, so for me the jury's still out.
