So you hate league one, you hated the premiership, you hated the championship till we got promoted. And you're on a season ticket thread.... Started by someone in January who names himself "losing interest" I'm off back to me frosties Not everything is hard black or white. Are you more OR less enthused/interested in/by Town now compared to 3 seasons ago? Town....no difference The game.....massively less.

Fine balancing act
Last season there were numerous games were I went only through supporter loyalty- I stopped looking forward to games because we were just whipping boys and once we conceded the game was over and everyone including the players knew it
This year we were told we were well financially prepared for the season and had been planning our strategy since we were relegated. It was probably a bigger mess than any since 2003 - assistant manager sacked at start of preseason, new assistant manager announced and sacked days later with along with siewart. Top players leave and no marquee players arrive. Horrible atmosphere at club to new owner etc
Against those two seasons I just don’t see how they can raise prices - and if they do they’d shouldn’t be shocked if attendances nose dive

So, let me get this right. The Championship is wank. League 1 is wank. Lots of people thought the PL was wank. By extension, we have to presume that League 2 is also wank. Let's move the discussion on. Most people think the FA Cup is wank and there's a thread on the EFL Cup pretty much saying that it is defunct, probably because it is wank. Fuck me, we might as well do a Bury. I didn't say The Championship was wank but League One is wank. The PL wasn't wank, losing every week with no resistance, effort on the pitch or general effort from the club off it was wank. Actually, I wasn't solely quoting you mate. Just a general observation across this forum. Nobody just seems happy to be where we are, no matter what that division is. All the best

Are you more OR less enthused/interested in/by Town now compared to 3 seasons ago? I'd prefer us to win every game. I don't like losing. So a promotion season enthuses more than a relegation season. BUT I haven't "lost interest" because this has been in my blood since I was a kid. I wonder if the more fairweather element have come to it late? But to be honest even though I haven't lost interest (as you claim to have?) I really couldn't give a shiny shit whether we sell season tickets in January February march or April. The fact you seem to (despite having lost interest) baffles me but we are all different

All I can say is if they put them up then I’ll be enjoying my weekends again as £250 is more than enough to pay for a season ticket. Football clubs use the loyalty of the fans to rip their own supporters off. Yes we’re one of the cheapest season tickets in the country but it’s still obscene given the millions the clubs receive from sky and sponsorship. Somethings going to give soon and it could end up with really empty stadiums up and down the country and a lot more clubs going to the wall chasing the dream of what is a pretty shitty PL. Don’t forget the club only get £207.50 from a £249 season card. Not a lot really is it when you consider the overhead involved in running a business of any kind. A business where you get money from a central fund (Sky) and also sponsorship money. Season ticket money at towns level isn’t much now really and if the club wanted to improve it then they’d need a lot larger fan base and a bigger ground that we’d fill week in week out which is never going to happen.

Been going since the 1980s if that helps you judge my fairweatherdness.

Isn't that just a creative, yet short-termist way of getting them out of their ffp hole?

Excellent decision from the board. Congratulations to the chairman. I sense the tide of opinion about the team, management and Chairman has turned and thank goodness for that. Bravo to all for last night's efforts on the pitch and this evening's news from the boardroom regarding season ticket prices being frozen.

No price freeze for me!
But that's because mi laddo turns 18 in 6 weeks so will need an adult one for next season. Still, less than £500 for both of us, which I bet is less than my husband will be paying for his Derby one for next season, so I've no real complaints.

'Special' 2020/21 season card news coming this evening apparently A great deal for Huddersfield Town supporters and it barely raises a meh! I'm sure that there are many other club supporters who would be absolutely delighted to be paying our ticket prices.
