Be a shame if they played their 'biggest rivals' early on, no fans allowed in... "Staying at home together, we can't watch the Leeds....." Be a shame yes, but just being back where we belong will be sweet enough. `Back where we belong` you mean the premier league...seriously? You do realise Leeds have spent more than half of the last 30 years outside the top flight, sixteen seasons in fact (three of those in the 3rd tier).Leeds are still a big club with decent support, but not as big as they used to be, im not one on here who continuously bashes Leeds but facts have to be administered sometimes.

Or maybe because of all that stuff, people just want an escape from it. This is a football forum after all. Yes but football should only be back when it is safe to do so. It’s all about the money these days. A phrase often posted by people who seem oblivious to the fact that its a business and without money it can't survive. Clubs, like most other businesses, have taken a big financial hit since lockdown and many of the two hundred plus staff that Town employ will be fearing for their jobs if this goes on for much longer. The Government have given football the green light to resume training with a view to re-starting the season and whilst some people may prefer to continue to hide themselves away, some of us can't wait to get back to some sort of normality, even allowing for the fact that we'll have to wait a bit longer to actually attend games.

One thing I’ve not seen mentioned in the “how/where will we be able to watch the game” debate yet is reference to the existing deal that commits Sky to broadcasting live EVERY midweek Championship game (the “red button deal”).
So...even without renegotiating with the various partners, the vast majority of games are already committed to TV broadcast.

For people wanting to talk about none football related subjects there's a perfectly serviceable off topic section set up just for that purpose.

I can’t believe people are talking about football with everything that is happening. All the deaths from Covid, Cummings, George Floyd murder, Trump... there’s just so much going wrong in the world I don’t see how football can restart. It’s so insensitive. I can’t believe some people don’t have the capacity to think about more than one thing at once! What next, delay the restart of football or even discussing the restart of because getting a deal in place to cover EU exit is far more important (and also unrelated to football, just like Trump and George Floyd etc are)

Physical contact might be a starter - the Government are telling me to safe distance as they believe that is safer than physical contact.

I'm just glad that after the early suspicion, Blink has finally got it off his chest about being a Leeds fan. It's difficult to admit that folks, so we should cut him some slack. Judging on past exaggerations by their supporters, there are probably about 350 million sleeper accounts on here waiting to burst into life if the season finishes and they get promoted. I expect them to continue to lay dormant if they implode again. Can any of the admins confirm if there's a limit on how long you can hold an account without posting? 15 years + must be stretching it? What's that about imitation being the sincerest form of flattery? In Leeds' first 15 years, the club kit was modelled on Huddersfield Town's blue and white striped shirts, white shorts and dark blue socks with blue and white rings on the turnovers,[107][108] because Huddersfield's chairman Hilton Crowther was attempting to merge the two clubs.[108] He eventually left Huddersfield to take over at Leeds.

The commitment for the red button games is the mid-week games that are scheduled at the start of the season - the ones that are part of the regular fixtures. Any other game that doesn't kick off at 3pm on a Saturday can be on the red button, but it is entirely the choice of the home team whether they choose to allow it. Hence our away games at Middlesbrough and Hull City weren't on there (Hull was a mid-week re-scheduled game) but the home games over Christmas against Blackburn and Stoke were. In theory the Forest game should be on as that was going to be on the red button anyway, before it was chosen to be the main game. As for the other games - who knows? The football world just seems to care whether all the Premier League games are on, I haven't seen any discussions regarding the Championship games.

I'd really like to know as this is the *only* factor that determines whether I pay for a month of Sky or not. What if the Forest game now gets played on a Saturday, would it still get the red button because it was originally scheduled for midweek?!

I presume the fixtures will follow the same order as they were originally scheduled, which means that Wigan at home will be on 20th June and then the Forest game on the following Saturday (think they have said there will be no midweek games in the first week). What Sky will show, who knows?

As if we didn’t already know; restart is all about the TV money. Looking at the clawback clause, no wonder there’s a scramble to get the season finished...

What Sky will show, who knows? If they are, then the schedule will now look something like below (Saturday matches may become Fri/Sun, and Tuesday may become Wednesday). With the change that no midweek fixtures are being played in week 1, it means all our home matches will now be at the weekend if fixtures are played in the same order. Note that the FA Cup Q/F are due for 27th June and S/F for 18th July, so Sky will likely be shifting Championships games around for TV those weekends. Also I would still presume all matches on the last midweek will be played at the same time. June Sat 20th - Wigan (h) Sat 27th - Forest (a) Tue 30th - Birmingham (a) July Sat 4th - Preston (h) Tue 7th - Reading (a) Sat 11th - Luton (h) Tue 14th - Sheff Wed (a) Sat 18th - West Brom (h) Tue 21st- Millwall (a)

Why don’t people see it for what it is? If one player or family member dies of corona then they’ve got blood on their hands. I would be more supportive if they came out and said, "football is no different to any business and we need, safety allowing, to get our business running again". All this rhetoric about integrity is largely hogwash. Football is even more disingenuous though. The issue of paying back broadcasters is one thing (I don't blame the broadcasters for their stance at all - they will still lose as all the pubs, clubs etc...will still not be open and, I assume, won't pay subscriptions) but there is so much self interest here and if some of the less financially well off clubs are decimated then so what? The journalists supporting this farce are just as bad. They will be the first to criticise and condemn if someone does lose their life as a result. The truth is the risk is the same for anyone trying to work/get back to work. I get it is a business but at least say that is the reason, or a significant driver, for returning. Don't patronise us with the "good of the game" and "the fans want us back" because it is utter drivel. I accept we are likely to resume and finish the season. The quicker it gets done the better for me.

First team player training video released today - I was interested in seeing if there was any footage of the goalkeepers training to see if any were missing. In the small montage, all 4 were being put through their paces, which possibly means Lossl may have extended his end-of-May Everton loan deal...

Just announced on Sky Sports. BBC have also got some free-to-air games as well but being bottom of the pecking order, their choices aren’t exactly the must view games: Norwich vs Everton and Bournemouth vs Palace!
