Sure he'll miss the energy and profile of a football club, but maybe he also wants an easier life, which the more sedate nature of cricket may bring.
He's probably sick and tired of making announcements related to his role and getting a load of stupid fucking responses about wanting a new striker, rather than a new corporate partner, etc.

Town need a period of calm and re organisation and to get away from last season and the start of this one. Those associated with the best and worst season we have had in decades probably need to move on. Good luck to him.. Dont think we had any villains off the pitch just lost our way and bad decisions all round just followed on.

Always found him to be a top bloke.
He has been a great servant during unprecedented success on & off the pitch.
Big boots for somebody to fill.
All the very best for the future.

Top fella who was always accommodating to fans in general, and in particular to me. Spent many hours with him and he's always been a gent, an ally, a confidante, and a friend. We spent 250 miles together bringing up the rear of P4P1 on our mountain bikes too...road bikes from then on Good luck to him, and Leicestershire v Yorkshire should have a HTFC bias in coming months and years End of an era from the FFA days...DH, NC & SJ...all good blokes who dragged our football club forward.

Good luck to Sean and well done to him for his work with Town.
Cricket has many challenges as sports businesses, and the next few months have particular challenges. For everyone's sake, and for Sean's let us hope that it doesn't throw it down for the next few months. If we know Sean, he'll be doing the people stuff to engage with the supporters and local businesses to generate interest and enthusiasm.

Top man. I often felt he might have been snapped up by a top premier team in some capacity but at least he is back to his Leicester area.

Big loss for the club, in terms of the local connections he has forged and his presence with the fans. All the best in the future. However, 14 years is along time in one post and new ideas and new life might give the commercial side a boost. Big Phil seems to get recruitment right, so I'm sure we will replace him with someone of good calibre. Will be nice to see sean in with the fans, let's hope he continues to support Town. Strange time to take up a role in Cricket.... the county scene will be broken after this season. It's not like you can put the season back 3 months like footy can. The games have to be played between April and Sept.... he could be out of a job shortly after he starts. I think that answers the question as to why he’s left. He dug a hole he couldn’t really get out of with the Paddy Power shenanigans.

Just like the spin on how many season cards we sold.

Wasn’t he already on the board at LCCC ? Either way, probably more cash, more responsibility and nearer ‘home’. Or maybe he was just ready for a new challenge. Good luck to him.

Not too bothered really he won’t be missed. Bit harsh that Joe mate. He's done a cracking job for Town and brought loads of money in year on year. He even helped your beloved Giants at first, until he saw the light Plus he's a good fella. As are you

Not too bothered really he won’t be missed. You've proved the old adage in an otherwise unanimously positive thread. You can't please all the people all the time.

That's a real shame, done a great job.
Not really surprising though, personality clash or career move I wonder or maybe he's too expensive?

Sent from my SM-G920F using proboards Probably a good time to go. Highly unlikely to get near the EPL again (just as it was highly unlikely in the first place), but whilst it’s still in the memory, the job of selling a middle of the road Championship club to a commercial audience suddenly becomes more difficult than it was...having pulled things along and priced/positioned some long term supporters out of interest and replaced them with businesses who were there for the EPL. Engaging fella, I was always surprised he was never given the CEO role at Town. There’s only Ann and Sue left now 🤷♂️ Let’s hope the club keeps its identity.
