You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain seems the appropriate quote to apply to both Dean Hoyle and Sean Jarvis. For me they are honest people and did their best, we would have been much worse off without them during that time period. So good luck to both We are in more debt now than we were when Dean Hoyle took over in 2008. We were in league 1 and heading the opposite direction to where we ended up. Would you rather we had stuck with Davy and Andy Ritchie! Short memories.

We are in more debt now than we were when Dean Hoyle took over in 2008. Would you prefer to be back in league 1 with Conman Ken as owner, using any available money to prop up his rugby team ? Definitely not, I wasn't suggesting anything different. I don't actually blame Hoyle for taking his money back and don't harbour any grudges. Hoyle gave me some of the best years of my life watching Town, even before the promotion season.

That's a fact.

Not arguing, just stating a fact. Hoyle has every right to take the money back and I don't harbour any grudges towards him for doing so.

I just want some honesty from the club I support. A club I no longer recognise. One thing I’ve always been honest! .... there’s a time and a place. With me leaving.. it gives you the opportunity to fall in love with htafc again. For me.... I can look at myself in the mirror knowing what I did was my best... sorry you don’t think it was good enough... All the best bro.. I hope you realise how lucky you where to have ringside seats for the greatest show in htfc histoyfor the last 70 years.. Your latest job may be more secure.. And safer.. But will you ever feel the high that you did in may 2017?? I know I won’t.. Stay safe.. Allus a terrier.. 🐶

Let’s face it, commercial revenue in the five or six seasons (and probably longer) before we got to the EPL remained pretty static.
The actual real life performance in pound signs has been nothing to get excited about, as likeable as Sean was (personally I think his undoubted positive impact was largely elsewhere than his formal job title). Blimey... getting a bit of a kicking... Mate, thank you for your service. What a rollercoaster! And I wish you all the best in your future ventures. However, always remember that facts don't care about feelings. Numbers are numbers; facts are facts. Good luck.

Things move on, the very best of look to Mr Jarvis. We’ll all look back at a couple of seasons in which he held a high profile role with the best of memories. On the pitch, on his bike, on the sunbed...I never met him but he always represented us excellently when I saw him on any media format.
They seem pretty unpleasant and unnecessary comments from the new chap. Give me warmth and charm over a demand for ‘increased figures’ any day of the week.

www.htafc.com/news/2020/may/mark-devlin-appointed-permanent-ceo/"Away from football, I’ve been looking at how we can generate more revenue into the Club. Particularly, when you don’t own the Stadium. “We have to be smarter in terms of our commercial output. We are losing our Commercial Director in the next month or so, we are in the process of recruiting someone to fulfil that role. I can see us working better with our commercial partners going forward." Sounds a bit ouch to me..... Sounds a bit classless to me.

Dear Mr Jarvis,
please can you finally admit it was you, you bastard, who ran over my 15 yr old Tabby in Holmfirth about 3 years ago.
Duncan was the best cat I ever had, he was revered around these parts, caught more birds than Otium and often stayed out far later than he did as well, sometimes for days on end.
When he was returned to me, he'd had his ID tag swapped for one of those medallion men style trinkets and he stunk of sun tan oil, hence my assumption it could only have been yourself who was responsible.
Well I suppose it could have been a flattened milk bottle top and chip oil, but grief does strange things to you.
Anyway, hope this explains everything.
Yours
mmmmmmbenza

I can look at myself in the mirror knowing what I did was my best... sorry you don’t think it was good enough... I believe you were being totally honest when you said "so what if we get relegated". Good luck in your new job. You know full well he didn't mean he didn't care. From what I've seen there are few people who care more about the club than Sean Jarvis. He was praising the loyalty of our support that, despite getting relegated in a drab season, thousands had renewed for the year after. Everyone knew he meant that, and he was right. It's only people who want to stick the boot in to the club at every opportunity who pick it apart.

He may have thought it, the whole club may have thought it, but he shouldn't have come out publicly and said that when he's representing Huddersfield Town. Imagine the uproar if someone not so popular such as Julian Winter or Jan Siewert had said it? You'd have all been up in arms and quite rightly, however, because its nice Sean Jarvis, no one will pull him up on it.

The Paddy Power stunt was great, You should have held your nerve and let it run a little longer.
But you have been here a while now, You signed two shit wingers last summer, You forgot to put Stripes on our sleeves and our set pieces have hardly improved in all the years you were here.
To top it off you, Yes you Mr Jarvis couldn't sort out Pritchards injury problems.
And now we are back in the second tier you jump ship to Leicester City at the first opportunity. Well good luck in Europe with that shower, You will need it.

I honestly couldn't care less about football anymore, it's something I watch on a Saturday...occasionally. I'm glad it's been postponed as it means I don't have to watch another 90 minutes of crap football with a team full of wage thieves that couldn't care less about Huddersfield Town. I decided to take a leaf out of the club's book, if they don't care, why should I? I get much more enjoyment out of other hobbies these days and wouldn't shed a tear if football never returned. As for the "fucking wet wipe" comment. Grow up.

When things get back to normality you may well have a bus load of Town fans having a day out at a Leicester/Yorks one day game Mr J.
Am quite sure you would come and have a chinwag, a glass of shampoo and a cucumber sandwich with us.

I for one think smj1 did a superb job, and I also admired his willingness to engage with folks online, especially when so many of them were unable (and apparently remain so even today) to engage in a grown up and courteous way. I think we'll miss him - commercially the club is in its strongest ever position, and he deserves a lot of credit for managing this in the shadow of that shower from Beeston, who are infinitely more commercially attractive for businesses to get involved with. He was always good humoured and really bought into things. Some folk on here need to give their (empty) heads a good old wobble, and give up the glue.
