Probably a good time to go. Highly unlikely to get near the EPL again (just as it was highly unlikely in the first place), but whilst it’s still in the memory, the job of selling a middle of the road Championship club to a commercial audience suddenly becomes more difficult than it was...having pulled things along and priced/positioned some long term supporters out of interest and replaced them with businesses who were there for the EPL. Engaging fella, I was always surprised he was never given the CEO role at Town. There’s only Ann and Sue left now 🤷♂️ Let’s hope the club keeps its identity. Don’t forget Karen Haigh as well always done a great job xx Agree..met her a few times, very down to earth and approachable. Probably a big part in why our players mostly come across as “more normal” than those of lots of clubs, no chance of being aloof, distant or self-centres when there’s someone like that dealing with everyone in the exact same genuine friendly manner. Keeping it realShe’s not (I think) on the board though unlike all the others mentioned which was my point.

Well this was the shock announcement I mentioned a Month or so ago. I hoped it wouldn’t happen but it did. I’ve no doubt there’ll be more to follow.
Sad day for Town.

Just to reiterate what a few have already said, good luck Sean. I don't know him personally but what a top bloke who always made time for the fans. Seen him on many a piss up watching Town and the cricket. Always one to chat to you as if he knew you.
In saying the above, whilst discussing Town and the managers position after several jars at Headingley, he threw us a name that he wanted as manager and one that many of us would've jumped at... I stuck a bet on... It didnt come in. Been a Yorkshireman I'd love that money back please Sean!!
End of an era. All the best fella.
On to the next chapter now, let's get behind Phil and his team. They deserve the chance.

Let’s just say Mark Devlin has a lot to sort out.

When Big Phil came in he said its evolution not revolution....
I dont think he liked what he saw and has embarked on a revolution.
Dont personally think there was any personality clash with Sean and Phil. They seemed pretty cosy on stage at the southern terriers meet up.
It's more a new direction of travel for the club, one Sean probably didnt see himself part of. It's perfect for the new chairman, he has HIS board and HIS managers in position. Now its finally his club and he can lead the new direction.

Winter left because of Hodgkinson though, as did Roger Burnley.

Particularly, when you don’t own the Stadium. “We have to be smarter in terms of our commercial output. We are losing our Commercial Director in the next month or so, we are in the process of recruiting someone to fulfil that role. I can see us working better with our commercial partners going forward." Sounds a bit ouch to me.....

Let’s face it, commercial revenue in the five or six seasons (and probably longer) before we got to the EPL remained pretty static. The actual real life performance in pound signs has been nothing to get excited about, as likeable as Sean was (personally I think his undoubted positive impact was largely elsewhere than his formal job title).

I lost all respect for Jarvis last season when he tweeted "so what if we get relegated?".
Disgusting attitude from someone representing the club. He may think it, but you don't say things like that in public.

Just summed up the club's attitude from top to bottom. You didn't care if we were relegated from the first kick of a ball and it showed. I haven't even mentioned the Paddy Power debacle, no matter how much money it made us, it still make us look pretty stupid and went on far too long. Or the horrendous badge? The club went all big time when we got promoted and seemed to forget who we were for a moment. We sold our soul for a few million quid and you were a part of that and I have felt out of touch with what our club has become since those days. You were also pretty quick to take plenty of plaudits when things were going well but soon distanced yourself from any football matters when it all went to pot. Thanks for the service but let's move on.

I'm sure you'll be able to confirm whether £770,000 is the true figure of what directors were paid last year? Despite overseeing one of the most pathetic seasons in our history? I do hope they weren't bonuses because if you'd have had any decency you'd have handed them back.

Blimey... getting a bit of a kicking... 🤣 But touchy...this isn’t a kicking at all! Do you disagree on the year on year commercial numbers? Most business units run to BHAG type targets with significant growth demanded year on year, doing more and more with less and less, Towns commercial revenue has not done that despite the obvious positive leadership that you’ve brought. To be honest as such an affable likeable chap who clearly gets what being a supporter is about I would have likes to have seen you in a CEO type role, you often had to put out the sort of interviews and info that such a leader would normally be expected to, but the unnamed chief execs at Town have not really done over the years (historically I guess Deans willingness fo come out and talk has maybe undermined that position somewhat).

You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain seems the appropriate quote to apply to both Dean Hoyle and Sean Jarvis. For me they are honest people and did their best, we would have been much worse off without them during that time period. So good luck to both
