Absolutely delighted for the managers, these boys are serial winners and have dragged themselves up from non league to the championship. They’ve just pulled off another huge success. These boys work their arses off and deserve the success they earn. I look forward to seeing what they can do next season given chance to build a squad and have a pre season. I’m also prepared to accept they might not be the finished article when it comes to championship football for obvious reasons. Well done and thank fk for that result tonight!

Agree with you but not much of a pre season but you are spot on there work ethic is second to none. The most insulting and pathetic post-mortem was the one about pe. Teachers I'll informed and patheticc well done both staff and team they came and delivered credit here it's due. A lot of things to sort let's get on with it

Still not completely sold on their style of football but it's not easy getting something out of the demoralised mess of a squad they inherited. I've always said players and coaches should be given time to show what they have to offer with a reasonably clean slate so I can't be hypocritical here. They have earned the right to be given a go after another transfer window (even if it's going to be an odd one due to this split season) to show what they can do with their own men. As ever it's down to the finances and what confidence the directors have in them to give the budget required for an overhaul.

How can you like it but then agree with me about the chairman being wrong ? Clayts I am agreeing with this comment; "These 2 have relied on Grant or Bacuna pulling something out the bag for them rather than finding a system and gameplan that suits what they've got available". You seem to have disappeared now we've had a good 24 hours. 🤔

Here's where I am. They did a great job until December. From January onwards its been pretty poor, and I'm talking mainly performances. The games of Stoke H, Cardiff H, Leeds A and Wigan H are amongst the worst I have seen from a Town sides, certainly in the championship era. If Phil decided to part company I'd back him. I haven't seen a style of play from them and I think they've been tactically naive. If he keeps them on then he must A) Back them in the transfer market B) Give them time next season C) Tell them they must create a style of play The worst thing would be to have a repeat of last year and half back the manager then get rid a few games in. But equally we have to have a way of playing and create more opportunities than we have done this calendar year, bar a couple of performances. Shocking performance are par for the course in the Championship. Every time Leeds slipped up, West Brom made an absolute hash of the chances to overhaul them. I agree that we need more consistency but Wigan were the form team who beat Leeds at home, the other team you mention which were on fire for most of the season. This won’t wash next season, but we’ve been in danger of relegation since the Cowleys took over and if anyone thought we were not going to get the odd demoralising, unfathomable defeat then what? Over the season, they’ve steadied a ship that was sinking faster than the titanic.

After the shocking decision making & the start we made we all knew the brief when these lads agreed to join us. STAY IN THIS DIVISION..... job done.
Commence the clear out & let's build the foundations again

Even with all the fallout following the Bristol away game, I thought we played far better in that than any of the 4 games I mentioned because we at least tried to get forward.

After the last 2 years we’ve had I’m just relieved that we won’t be watching lower league football .

I agree but we’ve seen enough to see that the Cowleys can adapt. When Wagner arrived we were always on the front foot until the Spurs game. After that, some of the play was good and we often had the lion’s share of the ball but we couldn’t score and we couldn’t win. Siewert re-imposed the attacking intent but we still kept losing. In the circumstances the Cowleys’ pragmatic approach, although not always pretty, has worked. Those three bore draws have made a massive contribution to our survival.

I didn't have much of a problem with the draws, we were doing what we needed to to stay up. The 4 I mentioned were all losses where we barely even started the game. At the Cardiff game it was half empty by 70 mins. I can't remember seeing that happen before.

Shockingly bad and more so because the club has, in the last few years, lost a generation of new fans. But this is less about the Cowleys than the shit storm they inherited, not least because we have seen some decent performances in between times.

The weekend just got even better 👌🏼 I'm probably the only one who doesn't know, but....who was Clayts?🤔 He had multiple accounts, mostly the names of characters from "The Bill", plus others, plus tried to register as Japan Terrier yesterday when he'd got banned. Very abusive to other posters initially, then changed tack and just posted extreme negativity to almost every opinion. Just a massive WUM.

I’m delighted for DC. Took a load of stick but done exactly what he was brought in to do
It’s a miracle when you consider where we were when he got the job.
Thought a couple of weeks ago that it had got too much for him. I suspect like Hogg and Schindler it was all getting a bit heavy and was wearing him down.
Fingers crossed we can ditch some of the deadwood and let him get a few players in that he obviously needs And that we start to see a pattern of play that he wants to follow

It's absolutely atrocious. The occasional bad performance is fair enough but thats 2 of the worst home performances I've ever seen in the last 3 weeks. No motivation, no plan, no desire and no ideas. Even if we somehow stay up. What do we have to look forward to if the manager can't come up with a plan to score a goal (have a shot on target?) against the worse defence in the league? We don't deserve to stay up and I won't be be feeling hard done by if they don't. Boro, Wigan, Stoke and now Luton have come to the JSS and absolutely bossed us. It one thing to be beaten by the better team it's another to not even try. Unacceptable. Everyone has bad days at work. Nobody that we can afford will do a better job than the Cowleys. Grow tf up you unappreciative, whining *****

Considering where we were when they came they have done well to save us. So they deserve a chance to shape the squad as best they can and have a proper go next season. Expectations are pretty low for me I would settle for a comfortable mid season finish.

Expectations are pretty low for me I would settle for a comfortable mid season finish. A mid table finish with a clear improvement in the quality of football on show would be a good season next time around. The Cowleys deserve lots of credit for what they've achieved this season, but I really don't want to be watching such turgid, defensive football next season. I don't expect to see Man City-style footie, and I accept finances could be tight, but I'd like to see some sort of identity on the pitch - hopefully a much more creative, attacking identity than the one we've all endured this season.

Don't shoot the messenger but I've heard from 3 different people that the Cowleys are on their way out. Rumours abound at this time of a season and social media doesn't help.
For those in the know - any substance or just silly season nonsense? Cheers
