he wasn't that bad. Trust Carlos if he thinks he can do a job for us. Carlos probably has no idea who he is. Working under Bielsa, he probably knows something about almost every first team player, for every club in the Championship. He probably knew all about the strengths and weaknesses of our first team players before we'd even spoken to him about becoming our Head Coach.

Indeed, there will be a few turning their noses up at a local lad who has spent the last 3 seasons being promoted to the premier league, relegated from prem and now part of a side who made the play offs.
Not exotic enough for some.
They'll be no pleasing some people whatever happens, that is for sure.

If Danny Ward suggestion has any truth to it I wouldn’t be disappointed. Weirdly once I knew we were getting CC I was thinking what sort of striker we could get that was in the Bamford mould and Danny Ward came into my head. He has changed as a player since we had him. He would be signed as a CF I am sure as he has played for Cardiff who I might add saw fit to start him in that role in the playoff semi. If we are gonna follow the Leeds playing style he is the type of CF we will be after. Wether he is the best we could get is down to peoples opinion but I think it would be a good option. On the other side it could be rubbish but I still think he’s the “type” of CF we will go for. Decent in the air but mobile with the ability to harass a CB or 2. Who next - Nahki Wells ? Well he’s more likely than Alexis Sanchez or Nathan Ake, isn’t he?

Judging by the accuracy of your many earlier posts - not only does he know who his assistant is, I expect Damny Ward to be revealed before 5pm today.

So we are replacing Karlan Grant with The Nando's Kid? oh well I suppose he'll be better out wide.

Danny Ward would be so underwhelming, I didn't think much of him the first time he was here. Hope to be proven wrong but if that's the sort of player we are bringing in good luck Carlos. indeed To avoid disappointment don’t be expecting to be overwhelmed this window. The best we can hope for IMO is to be whelmed.

So we are replacing Karlan Grant with The Nando's Kid? oh well I suppose he'll be better out wide. Danny Ward's all round game is definitely Championship quality. Karlan Grant's is league one at best. It all comes down to whether you're prepared to damage the overall cohesiveness of your play in order to keep his goals in the team. Put a striker up there who can actually control it and bring others in to play and you might find that other players chip in with more than enough goals to cover those that you've lost by Grant not being in the side. We surrendered possession so easily up that end of the pitch all season whether it was Mounie, Grant or Campbell. Campbell probably the best of the three at holding it up but he spends most of his time on the pitch giving away free kicks

I think it'll be quite a shrewd signing. He's a mobile player which will suit our new style and also plays both out wide and as a number 9.

Underwhelming or not , I can’t help but think I’d rather see Danny starting as one of our front 3 then either mbenza or diakhaby . Doesn’t mean I’m overjoyed at the prospect but certainly highlights what a total clusterfuck we’ve made of our recent recruitment . Get the overpaid , under skilled leeches out of the club , replace them with affordable championship level players supplemented with a few good young uns and lets see how far a good coach can take us .

Surely you mean on the "wing". Back on the wings getting wide Back on the chicken wings? (Sorry, couldn’t resist). Not overly excited by the prospect of Ward coming back, but let’s face it, we know what we’ll get which is a damn sight more effort than some of the PL signings and for a lot less brass.

I cringe seeing town fans interact with this billy bullshitter on twitter. God you aren't wrong he has no idea on the majority of clubs and when he gives it aye for getting the occasional transfer right.... That's your job Alan imagine saying aye on twitter every time you did something right at work, classic. Other thing that makes me laugh when people ask for his score predictions like he has a clue then he gets it hopelessly wrong!

It's not even him doing anything right, it's agents passing on information for their own benefit that then happens. Sports journalists need to get off their high horse and realise they're just an agent's pawn trying to drum up interest in their clients.

Ayina and Diarra both signed two year pro contracts with club option of a third. Proof that young French signings can make a positive impression. Been impressed with what I have seen and heard about both of these - hopefully they can start to breakthrough in next 18 months.

Diarra is the one I hear a lot about from people around the club, really really bright talent by all accounts.
