If we comparing to Leeds I see OBrien more as the Klich role. Phillips/Hogg are DMs. O’Brien isn’t. When he’s got the options and the confidence Hogg is more than comfortable in that role. Hogg just doesn’t have the composure or vision to play the way Carlos will want us to. I don’t see a place for him at the club going forward. Could see a place for him but unless his mid to long range passing can improve I think that place could be from the bench

And you think we have the funds to sign ten new players? TEN ? you will be lucky to get half of that. We certainly need to cut the squad size, 10 out 5 in will be dreamland. Hundreds of free transfers available this window + loans. We won't be far off 10 new signings this window I suppose this is a good time to rebuild and sell to the prem there will be baargains in those below that stamdard

All those that started tonight Besides who says Mbenza, Diakhaby and Kongolo are going anywhere - don't they have a year left. Kongolo contracted until 2022 I’d have him back

Seen possible suggestion from Alan Nixon that Blackpool are interested in Edmonds green.was hoping he would be with our first team this year as can see him been one most likely to make the step up and is something different to elphick, stearman And even Schindler if he’s still here

Probably reading too much into it but thought it was odd. There are certain players loaned out that don't appear on our squad list while others do. Possible these could have obligations to buy attached to their loans? Fingers crossed 🤞
Included in the squad are: Mbenza Kongolo Koroma Edmonds-Green Schofield R Brown
Missing: Sobhi Diakhaby Hadergjonaj Hamer

Diakhaby should have been in the play-offs 😂 and Hamer was at Derby until Wednesday night. The other 2 are still playing I think.

In an ideal world CC will turn these clowns into actual Championship players In an ideal world somebody would buy them for more than we paid and we would go out and buy actual footballers for half the price. In an ideal world.

Funny that because I also heard we are going to try loan Jack Clarke from spurs who Carlos knows all about.
Not gonna lie tho I won't be very happy if we turn into Leeds feeder club

There would be some who would have a dream of playing in the Premier League and would jump at the opportunity to show their abilities in the Championship. Hopefully we are sniffing around players with a year to go on contracts like Martín Merquelanz.

You are like a fly round the shit that is a transfer thread. All quality players who will move on to clubs currently higher up in the food chain. So I'd be happy for them to stay. Goodness that's rude... Would you be that rude to his face in public? Everyone saying Hogg needs to go, mental, he has a fighting mentality but he needs to be used in a very specific way. He is a classic DCM and needs a CAM / B2B next to him to get the best out of him. Having said that, the only players I would be genuinely sad to see go would be Toffolo, O'Brien and Grant as they're the only ones that I believe are genuine top 6 quality Championship. Grant and Toffolo are nowhere near top 6 quality, one has the all round game of a district league player and one's a full back that's hopeless at defending

Since I'm American I also follow MLS. Last year, I mentioned Paxton Pomykal in Dallas as a player who would be good at Town. Not sure he would work well next to O'Brien but his club has an impressive academy (sadly haven't seen much of them this year because half their team caught covid). They have also produced impressive youngsters Jesus Ferreira (quick, small striker) and Reggie Cannon (attacking right back with some reported Bundesliga interest). A really impressive prospect who has looked really good recently is Ayo Akinola in Toronto. Very strong and athletic attacking player. Has been deployed as a striker but could likely also play as a winger. From what I can tell he's in the final year of his contract (also on low wages) so might get a good deal for him. Probably unlikely for any of them but the league is under a mandate to become a selling league to increase their stature (trying to shed the retirement league monicker).

Don’t worry, we have a transfer committee now. If any of these players have ‘pace 20’ on Football manager I’m sure we’ll be following up with a bid soon.

Ramadan Sobhi, Egyptian striker from Huddersfield on loan to El Alhy, is leaving the club that plays in the Championship. From Italy, however, no concrete offer Joined Udinese in recent months, the next destination for Ramadan Sobhi will be decided in the coming weeks. Under contract with Huddersfield, the club that plays in the Championship, until 30 June 2021, is currently on loan to El Alhy. The Egyptian club, according to rumors collected by Calciomercato.it, would like to detain the 23-year-old attacking partner, Salah's national teammate, but the English club intends to sell him outright. The request is equal to 7 million euros and, at present, no concrete steps have been taken by the Friulians and other Italian teams alongside the player. What seems certain is Huddersfield's willingness not to extend the loan and El Alhy is awaiting a proposal for the purchase of the player, who has scored five goals in nine games played. The feeling is that the club owner of his card, purchased in 2018 from Stoke City, could also accept a proposal with lower figures, but only to give it permanently. These are decisive days for Sobhi's future. www.google.com.au/amp/s/www.calciomercato.it/2020/07/27/calciomercato-udinese-esclusivo-huddersfield-sobhi-el-alhy/amp/

Could see a place for him but unless his mid to long range passing can improve I think that place could be from the bench ifwe play 4 3 3 hogg would be perfect in the holding role in front of the back four but we really cannot say who we will have not just for the start of the season but when the transfer window closes in october
