Dave Thomas , middle row second from right on the Burnley one, is blind these days. Lost his sight in his 50s I believe.

Think Don Megson is the Bristol manager. Is the link that his son was once muted as a manager for town? ( much to everyones dismay )

I wonder if they'll pin the cause of that on his playing career? I only know because a couple of weeks ago my missus flagged up to me that he was giving an 'evening with Dave Thomas' in the local little theatre talking about his life and going blind. He was a hot prospect back in the 70s with England boss revie describing him as the most exciting young player in the country at one point. but he only got about 6 caps which surprised me. can't remember him at Burnley but can at Everton and QPR.

Remember him. Superbly quick winger who always played with his socks rolled down. Real shame about his blindness.

Mick Docherty (Burnley 72-3) coached town in 2008 under Stan Ternent.

And another two faces here... Loads more HERE. That ginger bloke on the front row looks very uncomfortable. Like there's only room for him to get a tiny bit of one buttock on the bench and he's having to support his whole body weight in that gravity defying squatting position. His expression is clearly saying 'Just take the bloody photo!!"

And... WE'RE BACK!Three Town connections here... Plenty more HERE. The connection that everyone has missed here is second left on the middle row = Wayne Jones. He went to a career as a football physio and was at Town 1991-94.

Chris Balderstone and Phil Summerill (front, second right between two rather better footballers). Yes can name quite a few of that Birmingham team. Who can spot Roger Hind and Bob Hatton, amongst others?
