We have 'delved' have a look at Championship clubs transfer activity so far - mostly frees and loans and hey fella clubs actually pay players wages - most Championship clubs have larger wage bills than current revenues but not Town but let's just splurge recent acquired revenues on vast transfer fees just to keep you happy? We've signed a load of league one players pal, take yourself down the bookies and put 100 notes on us to get relegated. You fill the team with league one players, where you gonna end up? And its not a trick question. Change the record vinyl boy and for God's sake cheer up as the suns out and a new season is nearly upon us.

Two of which are cover for the fullback position, both look to be a big improvement on Duhaney & Brown who they've basically come in to replace.

The fans have backed the club so let's see them delve in to the transfer market. Because we are part way through the transfer window we are a team in flux at the moment. We have delved in to league one to give some support to the team providing back-ups in the following areas:- Goalkeeper Full backs We have brought in two center backs (one on loan) but are they going to be any better than Schindler or the others that have left? We may be better than the defense that played this year (post new year), but will they be as good as the one that played before Christmas? We have not strengthened the midfield and in attack we hope that Rhodes can roll back the years and recover his form from seasons ago. Apart from possibly Rhodes I guess the rest will be on less than half the wages that the players that walked out of the door. It is fine to support the club but don't try to make our progress so far like the coming of a age of sunshine hope and expectation. We have some way to go to be seen as a club that is going to compete in this league and so far all I can see is a long hard struggle this coming season. By the way check out the other clubs in this division and we are not the only club to make a lot of free transfers this summer. As we all know the window is not closed as yet, so things can change and apparently will do, if we sell one, two or three players.

What was it under Jacko? You buy the tickets, we buy the players. Time to invest in the squad then! Do you think the six that have come in were free dearme some on here! Give over. We’ve brought in some depth and two decent centre backs, all for a minimal (in Championship terms) outlay. Time for a bit of quality if we want to get somewhere.

I seem to remember there was a survey on here that suggested 30/40% were not renewing. I don't know what the actual numbers are but this suggests to me that those who don't frequent this site are a lot more loyal to the club that those who do.

Why are people constantly surprised by how many tickets Town sell? We’re a big club. We sell tickets.

There's been roughly 800 registered users logged in since start of June. DATM is only currently* representing about 5% of people who have been season ticket holders in a normal recent season. Easy to get a totally skewed opinion if just assuming its representative of the overall fan base. It isn't. *number of active users may increase DURING the football season.

Whatever the why’s and wherefore’s it’s bloody brilliant news that we have sold so many season cards in my opinion.
Now we can look forward to a cracking atmosphere after being away for so long.
Can’t wait.

Getting a season ticket? poll had 320 responders, of which 146 said yes. That’s roughly 1% of season ticket buyers currently. 114 said no & 60 don't know. Tbat suggests a far higher percentage of disaffected & on the fence on here. No surprise when you read what is commonly written.

I’m just saying the fans are backing the club and I hope they respond to that. 13000 season cards amounts to about £3m. By the time the club have put that towards the costs of simply continuing to function ( pay wages, bills, expenses, etc etc etc ) , how much do you think they'll have sloshing about to 'respond' with?

The flaw is that a lot of the no’s are likely folk who dont regularly buy a season ticket anyway. You need to know who the 320 responders are before coming to any conclusions…and DATM is demonstrably *not* representative of anything other than a tiny minority of fans at the moment, with no indication whatsoever how many of that representation are season ticket holders.

Plus all the people who say 'no' for effect, but have every intention of buying one really.
Like the people who have 'no interest in England' but who'll have watched every game we played at the Euros.

I am not sure you can even conclude DATM is representative of a tiny minority of fans due the disaffected majority opinions on here being representative of people who are not 'fans' at all, but 'complainers'.

They will have received the thick end of £100m from Sky since relegation by the end of this season, plus around £50m in sales made since then. We had a wages to turnover ratio of less than 60% in 19/20, which was the second lowest in the league. All I’m hoping for is some investment given we were told last season’s high wages were handicapping us. Feel free to cup Phil’s balls all you want, but I’m guessing most people renewing are hoping for a different season this time around. And if not, they will be vocal.

Yup - don't think I voted in a poll, but I'm a "decided not to...but ended up renewing on the last day" person...as I regularly am! (I also only watched the first and last England games at the Euro's!! I watched a game a day for the first few days and then got utterly bored by the whole thing - I may have watched 30 mins of a Welsh game at some point - oddly the other half who has no interest in football whatsoever during the football season basically watched every game going!).

Everyones hoping for a different season. But thinking bringing in £3m in SC sales is going to allow the club to splash money around as some kind of reward is a bit delusional. Its basically going to go towards the costs of running the club, so where is this reward money coming from? Will it be from some huge pot of dough we have sloshing about from our PL days that we've stashed away but are just reluctant to spend? Next time Im cupping Phils balls Ill squeeze them until he agrees to release the millions shall I ?

Just shy of 15,000. Incredible What is the source of this figure? Just wasted time trying to find it & then seen Maynard's post suggesting it is too high.

Whether is 13,14 or 15k sold it's a brilliant effort by the fans considering what we've all had to endure over the last 3 seasons.
With the matchday prices set at £25 I suspect they could be a fair few walk up fans at matches aswell.

Why can't people just say "I don't know" rather than making up a random number?

Why can't people just say "I don't know" rather than making up a random number? It makes them sound special and wanted.. 15,000... 120 MPH..... 10"....etc
