Same guy also said that Thomas was going straight on loan to Harrogate but he does get a few right.

Imagine how tedious form filling would be for the guy when it says full name etc: Elijah Anuoluwapo Oluwaferanmi Oluwatomi Oluwalana Ayomikulehin Adebayo At 50p a letter for shirt printing he’ll soon more than cover his transfer fee in commercial revenue. Win win. Although unfortunately his name will only be available on XXXXXXXL shirts which does reduce the available market a tad.

Spent a long time at fulham , from 8yo to 21yo when he left on a free to Walsall after various loans and after Fulham got relegated from the PL with us.. At 6' 3" he's a big lad but his history shows a mixed pattern . Walsall presumably not renewing his contract after 2 years although that could be money troubles. I suppose £250k is peanuts nowadays but how else are we going to unearth a lower league potential star striker if we don't give it a go..?

I want to apologise for saying the other day that Town have the most melodramatic fan base. Seems all clubs have it...
Thanatos 9d If they sell him, then I’m done with them for a while.

el_nombre 9d This would be a disaster. Not sure what we can do to keep him to be fair, and fair play to him. No player would turn this move down.
The only thing we could do is invest the money in a striker NOT a free loan. I’m sure there’s a reason this isn’t possible for little old Walsall.

chunkster 9d He is one of only about 3 bright lights to keep fans interested in this team, and if he does go then you can say goodbye to ANY chance of getting out of this dustbin of a league for the foreseeable future, lets face it, we will get no more than £100,000 for him? who or what can you sign with any degree of pedigree for that?

Thanatos
el_nombre 9d That’s how I feel mate. I just can’t be bothered with the people who run the club anymore - regardless of Adebayo etc.
There’s no ambition.

he'd do ok I think, tbh the Championship this season isn't great is it, no team has overly impressed me and games are riddled with errors at both ends. Not just the Championship, at the top of the Prem teams have looked good at times not so good at others.

This is going to be a very difficult year for a lot of teams so 'normal' may not happen much? If the lad has been successful and perhaps wants a better deal that may be a problem for Walsall in uncertain times. He would certainly bring something different to the side and we need some different options in the final third.
Strange one really on his contract. He signed with Walsall for one year then a year extension last summer. Not sure if that was their financial position or if they were unsure of his ability in the longer term. The first year may have been them being careful and the short extension could be Corvid related. Anyway he seems to have grown into the team there over the two seasons.
With this kind of signing it is hard to know if the step up against better defenders will be a problem or the quality of support around him, as Town displayed second half on Tuesday, will actually give him more opportunities. Time will tell I guess if we sign him.

We'll be crowing if we get him, but Newcastle (or Notts County) might be after him.

Saw that earlier, that's an Exeter fan who's seen the lad play against Exeter once. For 23 minutes. And scored twice haha. I'd listen more to what the Walsall fans have to say.

1. Will he score more than 5 in a season? - If so it's an improvement on Campbell
2. Will his name fit on the back of the shirt? - letters are expensive

Imagine how tedious form filling would be for the guy when it says full name etc: Elijah Anuoluwapo Oluwaferanmi Oluwatomi Oluwalana Ayomikulehin Adebayo We probably need to sign him sharpish so that he’s got time to finish his signature before the deadline. It will probably be a two pen job.

Hopefully he’s mobile too, otherwise surely it’s another Mounie. Mounie was a goal scorer but wasn’t effective enough in our style due to a lack of mobility. Rubbish you can not score goals if you don’t pass to the forwards (not a 40yard clump upfield) or get crosses into the box we Had no attacking style in the 2nd year in the prem

Those 40 yard clumps were usually the closest man to him trying to pass him the ball.

Really hope we get this one over the line

I see this as the perfect signing for our striking option. Confident, different style to Campbell. Can see this been a shrewd piece of business
