Call me a "woke snowflake", but I'm not sure we should be singing songs about hanging black men in this day & age. The thought had occurred to me but I thought I'd get pulled up for not getting the words right, you know what it's like on here π Also, how do you hang on a wall if you're a bottle π€. Surely you'd sit on a wall. This one answers the "How", although I'm not convinced by the "why".

I've worked out that if you sang "Give us an E...." for this guy it would take 7 minutes just to spell his name.

Maybe Danny Ward didnt play yesterday as he is part of the swap deal - Walsall lad coming this way - Ward and a skip of delicious Haribo going the other way and 250k

Ward was laughing when he signed the contract with us, as were Pritchard, Diakhaby and Mbenza. Freeloaders who are asset stripping our club one week at a time. Why would any one of them leave early when they milk their contracts dry, making sure none of them ever have to work again if they didn't want to? Also, let's be honest, Ward probably tripped over his own wallet and strained his moustache adding him back to the injured list.

I reckon we'd have to pay Walsall more than Β£250k to take Ward as well.

Yeah ok pal Here's been here for three seasons: 18/19 - 24 appearances, 1 assist, 1 goal 19/20 - 9 appearances, 0 goals, 0 assists 20/21 - 26 appearances, 3 goals, 8 assists 59 appearances, 4 goals, 9 assists are horrible stats for a winger. We have to have higher standards for ourselves than this. If you paid a builder to build your garage but he only did a good job of the final third, how would you describe him? He's in the final year of his contract. He's been god awful and he knows he's got to work hard so that he's not on the dole come July. What he's done this season is what we've been paying him to do for three years. The way he played yesterday was disgraceful and I would have fined him if I were manager.

I called him a waste of space yesterday but have softened my opinion a bit since then- he played it very simple and had that meekness about his play that he did in his first season, but didn't really do owt wrong. 8 assists in 26 is exceptional though, 2 in his last 2 games as well. It's not an average amount for a winger at all- off the top of my head it's about as many as players like Lolley, VLP, Scannell, and Pilkington managed in their entire time with us. If he keeps this rate up all season it'll be the most assists from a town player in a season in the last decade

Arsene Wenger would describe it as playing with the handbrake on, it's pointless and contributed to how weak we were yesterday. The overwhelming majority of his performances have been the same. Like I said this season he's realised his contract is coming to an end so he's actually trying. 8 assists is good, granted, but he owes us that and a lot more. I won't be sad when he leaves.

He's done very well out of it and we haven't got our money's worth, not by a long shot, but for me that ain't his fault. My frustration is with those that set-up our crappy scouting network and those that then selected him and a number of others, who clearly weren't suitable. As much as he's done much better this year, him, Pritchard and Diakhaby were never right for an aggressive high-press or backs to the wall.

Considering he's been playing in one of the weakest Premier league teams & a bang average championship team that's not too bad. CC has shown faith in him this season & he's delivering the goods. 3 goals with 8 assists is pretty good. Not forgetting the corner he put in for the Watford player to put through his own net.

Feel like we're talking past each other here to a degree... I'm talking about overall value and perceived effort You're talking about contemporary contribution Both are valid points in me eyes and in fairness he has improved a lot this season. He was the worst player on the pitch yesterday for me.

He was the worst player on the pitch yesterday for me. This is obviously his best season for us by a mile, though he seems to have lost interest again recently - got a move lined up ? Based on this season alone I would be 50:50 on keeping him, on a vastly reduced wage. Based on his full stay here he he has been a massively expensive flop who has apparently cost us an absolute fortune (transfer fee/3 years salary) and it was a huge mistake signing him. Two months showing interest (for whatever reason) doesn't alter the massive drain on our resources that he has proved to be.

Fair play to Luton. We've apparently been trying to sign the lad for afew days, Luton come in late, offer less money & get a deal done. Doesn't look too good for whoever is doing the negotiations at our end, does it?
They rolled the dice & won, we can't even afford a dice to roll.

Luton offered less than we did. Walsall dicked us about, rolled the dice and lost Plenty showing their true colours on here though.

I am just trying to establish the poster is being accurate and knows for a fact that the guy chose Luton over us even thiugh we offerred him more money. Because if he/she does not know this for a fact then the post is pointless.
