I’d have him. Is (was?) absolutely rapid. He was really good at Hull a while ago, less good at Cardiff but they are more direct generally. I’ve never even heard of this lad. But being absolute rapid should never ever be used again by our club as a reason to buy a player I know what you mean. But not every fast player is as poor as Diakhaby. He might at least keep up with a counter attack, which is beyond Campbell at this point.

Horse will have bolted by then! Apologies if I am being pedantic, but the picture you have inserted is of a "HOSS" not a "HORSE". Sorry, couldn't leave it, growing up Bonanza one of my favorite shows, and Hoss my favorite of the Cartwrights.

My elder brother used to have Hoss as a nickname, but only by one person - how ransom is that?!!

My thoughts as well. Probably nowhere near Carlos fit. If you go to 39 mins on this video he says he's never felt as fit & he's been training hard with his personal trainer for the last 4/5 months. It might not take him too long to get up to speed if he joins. Most footballers keep themselves fit just in case there is a change they get called they need to be able to start straight away

But when will he be fit? He hasn’t played for over a year!
What’s Boothy doing?

Most footballers keep themselves fit just in case there is a change they get called they need to be able to start straight away ... but Vallejo hasn’t played for 7 months before we signed him and it took him weeks to be even considered for the bench

A good player until Koeman ripped every single bit of confidence out of him at Everton to try show he was the alpha to the dressing room. Always liked what I've seen of him and he comes across as a really good person but I can't imagine wages will be cheap.
Like people have mentioned, it's a bit concerning how long it has been since he kicked a ball in a professional match so it could be a bit of a strange move for a short term solution

I love the fact that half this board think that Niasse has been sloping around the house watching re-runs of Homes Under The Hammer and eating pop tarts for the last 8 months. He’s a professional footballer looking for a new club, he’s probably in the best shape of his life.

Not sure how you make that conclusion, players without a club are bound to train less than those under contract with clubs and in regular playing/conditioning programmes I’d have thought? Fingers crossed he’s in good shape, but doubt he’s in murder ball shape

Why would he have to self isolate for 2 weeks? I have just read he still lives in Manchester. Must be wrong but I thought if a player coming from a non elite club into a so called secure covid bubble, they had to self isolate for 2 weeks.

Naby Sarr flew in from France I believe...

But worrying all this talk about Westerns such as “Bonanza” on this thread. There are some people who already think we’re a Cowboy Outfit.
Preferred “The High Chaparral” myself !

Comments from an Evertonian colleague
“He has pace, may do well in a lower league” “All round game awful but did bag a few”
Sounds like if we keep creating good opportunities like we have been doing , he’ll probably stick a few away.

If true I’d be happy with this one.
The guy has some pedigree even if he has regressed over the last few seasons.
Carlos seems to be able to switch players on and I hope he could get Niasse ticking.
Although I have to admit I can’t really pin what sort of striker he is. Vaguely remember him scoring a few at Everton but wasn’t he used as a sub quite a bit?
Is he a back to goal player?
