Do Twitter provide sick buckets? 🤮 Makes it sound like he's been tapped up by a cult. That was, 'cult'.

Forest have lost their minds throwing everything at it. They’ll either do quite well or hopefully plummet Sunderland style They remind me of when that chav won the lottery

180k a week for Lingard worlds gone mad / Forest have gone mad He will play first 10 games, and then bottle out of a relegation battle when the going gets tough. Guaranteed after the WC he will be injured as he has no incentives to play.

Guaranteed after the WC he will be injured as he has no incentives to play. Clearly has no ambition of going to the world cup if he's joining Forest. Do well there and he'll still be overlooked. Do well at West Ham and he would have a good chance of being in Southgate's plans All about money for him and what sort of dressing room do you have when Lingard is earning 10 times what Toffolo is. All falls apart when the lesser paid players dont feel like he's pulling his weight

Toffolo will look good in the Prem, especially having his little mate playing down the middle, but at that level defending is crucial, so time will tell how that works, [/quote]
Hopefully we have a decent sell-on clause, especially if, as has been mooted, the fee for Toffolo was manipulated lower.
Meanwhile, Spence goes to Spuds for 20m... FFS. Hopefully he falls on his ass.

180k a week for Lingard worlds gone mad / Forest have gone mad It is mad, but wonder if it works out that much more than 17.5m + 4 years wages for kongolo Lingard somehow is even more of a bellend than TK

Good luck to them both. They have served the club well and earned a shot at the big league. Shame it's not with us but hey.
I'll always appreciate Lewis for sending my son a personalised birthday video and the way Toff embraced the campaign for Daz Hopson last year meant the world to Daz, so I have nothing but respect and love for them both.
However, I do think Forest will be the whipping boys next season.

He definitely improved but that doesn’t make him great. There are loads of right backs out there that could do what he does. There’s not many who do what Toffolo or even Pipa pre injury do. Depends what you want from a fullback. Pipa and Toffolo, to me, are really good wingers who can defend a bit. Turton is a fullback who can support a winger. In the right formation both types can be effective. We were well placed with our experienced centre backs, and we regularly played 3, to handle crosses into the box but for some teams it could have been a real weakness. Toffolo will look good in the Prem, especially having his little mate playing down the middle, but at that level defending is crucial, so time will tell how that works, Not sure Toff will look all that good - he might not play much given they've paid 6m+ for a first choice left back and he will get routinely exposed 1 on 1 defending unless cooper has a tactical shift from how he played last season.

Turton clearly found the step up a division too much to handle at first, especially when in possession. I find it really hard to believe people don't think he improved as the season went on but he had a terrific second half to the season. He definitely improved but that doesn’t make him great. There are loads of right backs out there that could do what he does. There’s not many who do what Toffolo or even Pipa pre injury do. My point was more for the few folk on here who thought he was great all season

They are ripping into us on Twitter about the fireworks. How long before their smugness wears off? TBH I think both of them should have said don't be c**** about this, but that doesn't seem to be the way of the modern footballing world.

I liked toffolo, got behind the team and fans, down to earth bloke, he has got his dream but at the end of the day all he cares about is money, money, money and it has shown it typical BTW Enjoy the bench 😎

Cheers Toffolo.
Move makes a lot of sense since his contract was up next summer.
Will probably see him back in Huddersfield at some point soon, even with first season luck, can't see Forest staying in the Premier League very long.
Now thank God that whole saga is over!

I liked Toff the player. I adored Toff the guy, did a lot of community stuff and generally seemed like a good egg. Good luck to him, certainly doesnt deserve any ill will.
Interesting that Bromby mentioned the contract offered wouldve made him the highest paid player in the squad. Really trying to prove they did everything possible to keep him.

It's weird that Toffs was out drinking in Revolution 1-2 weeks ago and telling Town fans that he was staying. I get that he's not going to say that's he's leaving but it seems a bit bitter lying to people's faces.

Good luck to him. Looked after himself and his family, he will never make a Premier league footballer, but at least he's had the opportunity to try. It's forest's Malone moment.... Good bloke generally so will miss that.

My Norwich supporting mate can't believe this. He says his defensive weaknesses will be exposed in the Premier league and I agree. Like Drumriggend says, bang average for us for half of last season. I wish him well but unlike LOB, he doesn't leave a big hole.
