I’m cringing watching the Town fans bite on Twitter. Move on, good player and you can’t begrudge him having a bash at the PL. Let’s face it, no other Prem club would have been in for him. I’m more concerned about how this (and O’Brien’s) fee will be used.

Decent player, and seemed a good guy. Good luck in the premiership. He put his stock through the roof with his goal contributions in the last 8 weeks of the season which did his earning potential no harm at all. His play off performances were class, he could have won us 3 pens with proper officiating over the 3 games.

Interesting that Bromby mentioned the contract offered wouldve made him the highest paid player in the squad. Which may have still been less than most other Championship players!

It's weird that Toffs was out drinking in Revolution 1-2 weeks ago and telling Town fans that he was staying. I get that he's not going to say that's he's leaving but it seems a bit bitter lying to people's faces. I doubt he said this.

It's a bit like our Scott Malone signing and I think it will probably have a similar outcome.
I can't see him stepping up to the Premier League, but good luck to him giving it a go. If he does step up then great for him. If he doesn't manage it, he's got a four year bumper contract and will likely end up back in the Championship with Forest or someone else so nothing lost.
He seems a good guy and can't fault his commitment on the pitch. It's a shame he didn't sign a new contract so that we weren't in a weak selling position, but it's his right to do so. We benefitted from him doing the same to Lincoln, so can't be bitter about it.

Really disappointed by some reactions on here, footballers move to improve themselves/get paid more, whatever, all the time. Noone can blame Toff for going, he doesn't have the connection we have with our club, it is literally a job for him.
All that matters to me is that he always gave his all for us & was a terrific player for us, thanks for the memories Toff, you were a massive success here, all the very best for the future.

Never good news when a player of Toff's quality leaves, but I don't begrudge people making the most of a short career when opportunity knocks. Good luck to him.
At our end, having read Bromby's comments about Toff rejecting a contract which would have made him our highest paid player I'm actually quite pleased the club didn't end up spending silly money to keep him. He wasn't our best player, and certainly wasn't irreplaceable (although I'm not sure the same could be said for LOB on both counts).
Finally to the bitter idiots on here and on Twitter moaning and swallowing the Forest bait, give it a rest. You're making us look tinpot and feeding this forced 'rivalry' more.

Good luck to him.
We move on.
Wonder how often they'll be using the fireworks emoji next season?
Things like that usually come back to bite you on the arse in the footballing world.
The majority of the Forest fans haven't really shown much class in their lucky win at Wembley so we shouldn't really expect their official twitter to be any different, should we?

Good luck to him.
We have some worryingly thick fans. The lad never put in less than 100%, and gave us some cracking showpieces to boot.
Players move on, get over it.

Thank fook for that. Good luck to them both, I think LOB will take like a duck to water in the PL but Toffolo will struggle, but will be a solid player for them when they come back down. Glad to know their replacements are here with absolutely no championship experience between them. I’m afraid of next season to be honest but you never know.

As much as I detest the fact they have gone to Forest, I hope Forest struggle but LOB and Toff make a name for themselves and get a move this time next year to stay in the prem.

I asked him back in January to his face if and when he was signing a new contract and he said thats the plan, he bumbled a bit on the question and explained he and his family loved it at town but like a politician he never said yes or no and at that point I knew as I’ve previously stated he was never ever going to sign or stay. I’m disappointed in him tbh but like all players they’re mercenaries and owe us nothing.

Good luck to them both. They have served the club well and earned a shot at the big league. Shame it's not with us but hey. I'll always appreciate Lewis for sending my son a personalised birthday video and the way Toff embraced the campaign for Daz Hopson last year meant the world to Daz, so I have nothing but respect and love for them both. However, I do think Forest will be the whipping boys next season. Exactly. Good guys, great pros and did a job for us. Good luck lads.

My Norwich supporting mate can't believe this. He says his defensive weaknesses will be exposed in the Premier league and I agree. Like Drumriggend says, bang average for us for half of last season. I wish him well but unlike LOB, he doesn't leave a big hole. Totally agree made me nervous moved along way in a short time this is move too far at his age should have capitalised on his championship status as a top player can't see him playing much, would take him back on loan

Thank you htafc for giving me the opportunity to play in the Championship again. From a relegation battle to 90 minutes away from the Premier League at Wembley, it has been an amazing journey. It's been an absolute pleasure to be in the dressing room with the lads and be at the training ground with all the support staff, day in & day out. I wish you all the very best for the season and hope you can go one better to get what you all deserve. A football club is built on the loyal fans who follow their team all around the country and on a personal level the support you gave me on a matchday as well as within the community has been both humbling and incredible, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. Most importantly for me, thank you all for being so welcoming to my wife and our 3 children in the time I've been a terrier. It has made our lives in West Yorkshire for the last 2 1/2 years extremely enjoyable. Good luck and wishing you all the very best #UTT Toff

Exactly, like 95% of our current squad, seems it's alright when we're signing players from a lower league and giving them more money than they're currently on to get them here.

BBC website says £10M for BOTH Toffolo and LOB. TThought LOB buyout was that amount, surely we haven't thrown Toffolo as a BOGOF?

Yes but think of the Nectar points. And what do the BBC know regarding the fee, clickbait tossers. Anyway gives us a bit of cash to splash, well hopefully.
