So Town are one of 36 clubs in the Northern section of The League cup today. For me Harrowgate Town v Huddersfield Town has a nice ring about it. Easy travel, a new stadium to play in and visit in a major competition rather than a pre season friendly. Barrow also in there and I think they were maybe in the lower leagues many many moons ago, I’m not sure if they’ve ever played HTAFC or not, but again a new ground to visit and team to possibly play if we’ve not already done so.
Come on the pair that are drawing it... Give Town Barrow or Harrow !

At least it might be on TV as I'm not sure we'll be allowed to go as away supporters at that point.

New away ground or an home tie would have been ok, what an utterly crap draw.

We'll get knocked out, we always do. On the plus side, the club doesn't have to shell out the spondulicks to stage the game and thereby lose a bag of cash. Equally, it shouldn't necessitate an overnight stay in a swanky hotel; a quick in and out of Steel City, back before the pubs shut and in time for a bag of chips. Win win!

We always get knocked out by these lower league outfits. Bad enough for us, but poor old PenistoneHudd is going to get so much stick from his Wednesday mates when that happens.

Looks pretty comfortable here... So that's why he wasn't in the first 5 at Wembley or Hillsborough He SCORED his penalty at Wembley...and its well known that the pressure on penalty kicks increases and peaks around the 5th, 6th and 7th takers, as they're the ones most likely to be deciding the outcome. He wasn't comfortable taking a penalty against us...I get that. He came on as a late sub, he probably was ill or something, and well, who would want to face a penalty shoot out against Town, given you're guaranteed to lose?!

Shouldn't being the operative word. Didn't Leeds used to stay at the Holiday Inn at Brighouse the night before their mammoth treks to Huddersfield? Thought there was a rule that said that if a game kicked off earlier than 12.30pm then the home team had to pay for the away team's hotel? One year, the police made us kick off at 12pm so Leeds took advantage of that rule knowing that we would have to foot the bill. We appealed against it, arguing that it was the police that determined the kick off, and the fact that the hotel they chose to use was further away from Huddersfield than either Bell End Road or their training ground! I don't know the result of the appeal, but every game at our place since has kicked off at 12.30pm (whilst the games at their place, with the same police force can kick off at 3pm, but that's another argument completely).

Now you know how we all feel when reading your comments about your mate Bacca 😜 Ever since we re-signed him, everyone that thinks it's a good idea has made excuses for why he's been crap for 6 years but the ones for him not taking a penalty take the biscuit
