I’m probably someone who fits the ‘wokeflake’ mantra peddled by right wing morons on GB news and rags like the Daily Mail though I don’t really properly understand the terminology. What makes it fit is simply having left of centre views in a heavily right wing dominated world. So I’ll hold my hand up to that even though very little offends me and I’ve never complained about a poor meal at a restaurant, never mind complained about someone on this forum.

Wow this forum got heavy over the past few days!

I don't post often on here but do go on every few days or so for a read. I have always found Otium's posts entertaining, although I don't agree with the vast majority of what he says. I must say though that I really didn't like the undertones of the 'homophobic' post, whether it was meant that way or not.

To be honest I just find it very sad that its come to this, particularly given his health situation. I'm not in favour of permanent bans as everyone has the right to another chance (and people just create a new profile anyway), but every decent forum needs some rules to make it accessible for everyone and if he's been warned multiple times there can't be much argument when a punishment falls.

The debate shouldn't be centred around individuals and their traits and personalities, just about what is right or wrong, which after all is fairly subjective hence the reason that the board this week has resembled the plotline of Orwell's Animal Farm.
