Admins…. Hello….. hello….. is there anybody there?! Well I know one has been on here since I posted this earlier today….. …… bearing in mind, it’s not abusive, it’s not criticising, and it is a constructive suggestion, why haven’t you responded to this? The key bit is ‘help yourselves to help the members. ‘ Do you think every post on a football forum demands a response ? Maybe they juat read it and thought "meh " I'm thinking you probably don't recall the time we had 6 admins and it was a nightmare Considering you've tried to distance yourself from being in bed with the admins/to blame for the Otium banning... You now appear to be speaking for them. |

My tupence worth: Admins have a lot to do… Admins don’t get paid, they do it ‘for love’ to improve the quality of the members’ experience…. Although I jest from time to time, I really do not think any of them are on a power trip, are trying to take over the world or to cause us any problems…. I do think that if you are a ‘character ‘ and get into rows with posters maybe it isn’t conducive to being an admin… but that’s by the by - I’m not suggesting getting rid of any of the current admins. So saying all that…. why the resistance to having one or two new admins to alleviate the workload? It is a bit crap when admin decisions are ‘2/2 admins agree’ in a vote on action. Open it up, help yourselves help the members, have a democratic vote to see who the members want as extra admins - current admins can create the shortlist of say 5…… top 2 get the gig? …… and after all that, you’d put to bed the accusations of being power mad control freaks. I'd prefer to join them rather than be part of a hostile takeover, but change is coming. They have no authority on this forum. Not one of them was elected and not one of them has the right to refuse someone that has been proposed and seconded 17 times. Its like Donald trumps last days in office. Bring me on board, let's close the chapter on this and let's work together to bring about real change in this forum, not a forum for the boys but a forum everyone is proud to be a member of. Please direct me to the committee for twitter, Facebook, instagram and your favourite, pornhub. I know you volunteer to be admin blah blah blah, but surely as an administrator you should be above this sort of stuff? You preach the moral high ground yet continue with your little personal digs. Surely the hierarchy should command respect and be above this sort of thing Vote for change, Vote for Townrwe. I'm happy to work with the current ADMIN. Like others have said I take the shit and come back with the positive, I don't see any reason why I'm not an ADMIN. I'm offering my time, my ideas and my experience to improve the site yet we have one person that wasn't democratically elected that thinks he has the right to say no on behalf of members that didn't elect him. He needs to stop abusing peoples mental health, stop jokes about not taking tablets and go outside and smell the roses of change. |

My constructive suggestion would ease the burden on the three of them and put to bed the power trip accusations as they would be actively listening to the members… …. And maybe the 6 previous admins were the wrong 6 ? Just cos it didn’t work before doesn’t mean it’s destined to fail again. |

I think there is scope to improve things, as always, but I really couldn't give a shit, and to assume otherwise is jumping to conclusions. |

Well that’s nice… insinuating that a poster has a mental health condition…. And taking the piss about it. Whether he is ‘off his meds’ or not, there will be many folk on here who do suffer with conditions requiring ‘meds’ - your trivialising it and seeking cheap laughs is piss poor. And yes, you’ve mentioned that you have suffered somewhat in this area yourself , but that’s no excuse - you should know better. Well, it looks like the people have spoken and im representative of at least a section of the site that currently aren't represented by the current admin. With the Pro vote running at approx 30% it appears that I will shortly be ordained as a fully fledged member of the ADMIN team. The first change i wish to make is to appoint a moderation team of 10, Im happy to oversee this, but probably think Kenny would be better doing so as at the moment either myself or Grim would be chalk and cheese and Kenny is probably more centre ground. The moderation team has no privilages other than putting out raging bin fires and will all be on trial, I think you get a better badge and description on your avatar. Once im moved over to ADMIN, i will insigate this change with approval from the other ADMIN members so anyone interested should apply quickly as those on the site most often are likely to be those that put their name down first. Second on my list of changes id like to make with approval from the other ADMIN is to look at the rules with regards length of bans and the totting up process, there is work to do there, its not a perfect system by any means, It may take some getting through the ADMIN team, but I appreciate any constructive ideas by PM or you can add on this thread. Thirdly, I think the site needs tidying up, there are far too many menus and navigation to be made. I know grim had tried in this respect, but ill be looking to bring transfers back to the main page, as the main page becomes pretty useless during the off season and the transfer section pretty useless during the season so seems abit unnecessary, its bearable for the January window, but for 4 weeks a year seems a bit messy. Hopefully folks put the past behind them and get behind the ADMIN of the people to initiate positive change on this forum, Yours in Sport WONS, SUPERNOVAK, TOWNRWE, NEWSNETWORKS, PLATINUM MEMBER. When you're doing your 2nd on list of reviewing the rules, don't forget to ads a new rule that everyone, you included, will receive an automatic yellow card (no appeals against yellows) every time something is posted that is found to untrue, does not happen or generally concluded to be misinformation! If you agree to this I will vote for you as a new admin without the need to pass an integrity test. Is it a deal? Can this be retrospectively please 😁 |

Big Daddy G has a thankless task and we should be (and mostly are) grateful for the Admins and Big Daddy G's monitoring. I have to say though that this particular individual seems to be on some sort of mission, a mission of which the end goal I am not clear on. Interesting you say that seeing as he wasn't involved in the decision to.ban otium Doesn't he mean SuperKnowNowt ? |

For datms faults it's a decent forum. Otis ban was justified. I don't agree with lifetime ban but he crossed the line, a fair few times. This place will be the worse for some defecting but jog on. I reckon some people will think differently in the cold, hung over reality of tomorrow morning. No justification whatsoever for some of these antics tonight |

Personally I can see the logic of longer term temporary bans rather than lifetime bans for repeated offenders. Maybe instead of having a lifetime ban as the next sanction after a 1 month ban, make it a 2 month ban. Then a 3 month ban... etc.
Lifetime bans would be limited to the most egregious offenders. Example, Spam* & threats** made to other people (whether current members of the forum or not). Those sanctions would count if the threats were made on this forum or not.
* Poor quality threads are not spam - I'm referring exclusively to the kitchen spammers we used to get, not Nick.
** Doxxing counts as a threat.
