Campbell got 7 last season so you would like to hope Rhodes even if he isn’t quite what he used to be,would get at least 4/5 more than that? Although football never seems to work logically does it. Yeah he bagged the same amount of goals in half the amount of minutes last season although it was for a different team/manager. Hoping Corberan can get a song out of him. It’s certainly possible.Only thing I would say is that me basing it off Campbell…would bet(I haven’t checked) that he scored the majority of that 7 in the first half of the season when we at least looked half decent. If the team performs similarly to the second half of the season it won’t matter if Rhodes is a better finisher he would still struggle potentially. Tbf as a team goals scored wasn’t too bad last season it was the defensive end,it would seem we have improved the defence as a whole most probably so if we were to score a similar amount of goals you would expect to pick up a few more points. Not that a few more points is particularly reaching for the stars

He scored two more in the second half of the season (he did miss 5 games in the second half & 1 in the first half of the season) With the amount of minutes he played he should have been into double figures though.

A quote from a Norwich fan on their forum..
Nicecworkout but if I was Huddersfield manager I'd be concerned at their finishing. Woeful.
Don't we know it.

Assuming that they both played the same number of games against the same quality opposition, I would expect:
* Rhodes to score more goals than Campbell. * HTAFC to win more points when Campbell played than when Rhodes played.

Colwill has looked good in these pre season games, maybe the next chilwell? After a few pints the name will be similar!!. Hope he does well, and doesn't get slated if he makes mistakes, he's bound to make mistakes as a young lad in the championship.

Sorba Thomas has done well in the bits I've seen of him in pre season Reminds me of VLP without the showmanship. What reminds you of VLP then? Poor decision making? The best thing about VLP was his showmanship.

Wouldn’t of thought Sorba would be in the first team this season from what we saw last season and felt a loan would benefit him but he’s clearly been putting the work in and has looked a real threat on the right hand side this pre season. What did we see of him last season?

True, but he didn’t harras the defenders the same, make space for others etc. He may score more, but we'll probably lose goals elsewhere. Each have their strengths, but my concern is each have greater weaknesses.

I'm a little surprised that the management team haven't given Koroma a go as an out and out striker. He has the pace and can score. He can't be any worse than what we've got. Why are you surprised? He was shit hot down the left for us last season until his injury. He's hardly been fit since!

It would take the same amount of time just to answer it... I'm being inquisitive, nothing more. I've not seen Sorba Thomas play. Why is he like RVLP but without the showmanship?

I've not seen Sorba Thomas play. Why is he like RVLP but without the showmanship? He has similar ball skills to VLP but he is direct and makes better decisions, a cross, ball through the middle, have a shot, and he takes a good corner, so, in truth, not much like VLP at all

I couldn't watch the game today as I was traveling but I had internet so was following Twitter and DATM. When Norwich scored early after a Town mistake the floodgates opened on DATM and I decided to wait until half time to get a more balanced view of the game. At half time I read back through the posts, many of the usual suspects saying we are doomed, and it brought a smile to my face. Great to have the old DATM back after these last few days. I am looking forward to debate, lively or not, about football. Roll on the start of the season.

What did we see of him last season? The few cameos he made last season I thought were very encouraging. Trying to make things happen, not afraid to run at defences, pacey. He's not as good as JK is now, but he looks a lot better 6 months after joining us than JK was at the same stage in his HTFC career. Performances in preseason friendlies have also been encouraging. Some of the runs he makes, the movement off the ball & his set piece delivery look to be coming on in leaps & bounds. Work rate on and off the ball is really impressive. Edit: If you've not seen him play, the preseason friendlies so far are available on YouTube. I know there's only so much you can read into a preseason friendly but it should give you some idea where the optimism is coming from.

We're not doomed but unless we improve in the attacking 3rd I think it's going to be a season of struggle. I think Nicholls, Pearson and Colwill have improved us defensively and we look fairly well organised but we gave away two poor goals and should've finished/created better chances when we got in behind them. I missed bits but it looked like a couple of blocked shots was as close as we got. Before Bedsman wets the bed and gets the dislike button out though, it was just a friendly and like the wins before it, not worth getting carried away with.

I don;t think either of them have been particularly impressive so far, but of the two I think Holmes is the better signing, if only for his versatility he's good enough to fill in in a few positions as an emergency.
