I have this... It's the official A4 prospectus for the building of the new Kirklees (McAlpine) Stadium. It contains a fold-out full-colour A3 artist’s impression of the stadium and surrounding area together with details as to who will be involved and will represent each of the various factions, HTFC, HRLC and KSDL (Kirklees Council). All of the information is printed on thirteen sheets of lovely quality paper, each concerned with a separate aspect of the build and team. Looking back, it’s turned out pretty much as expected although I don’t think that the canoe and kayak landing stage – considered a “vital leisure need in the area” back then – has yet been built! Would you like scans of it? EDIT: scans sent!

Here’s a direct link link to the open letter (done at short notice, though to be fair we had 113 years to prepare…).

Amazing to think we've had 200 players ( 1/5th of the total ) since Rob Page! He doesnt seem that long ago at all.

History doesn’t repeat itself too often, thankfully.

Here’s a direct link link to the open letter (done at short notice, though to be fair we had 113 years to prepare…). Great Website congratulations & thanks to all involved. Couple of queries a) Josh Ruffels is described as the 1,000 player but the website has 1,061 players on it (it appears) What's the difference? (since we've been a league club? or league games?) b) The export file operation on the players list doesn't appear to work properly - Is that me? It appears to work (I get an excel file downloaded but it's blank).

a) Josh Ruffels is described as the 1,000 player but the website has 1,061 players on it (it appears) I believe they have a seperate entry for each spell a player has at the club. Eg Andy Booth and Jordan Rhodes have 2 entries as both have had 2 spells at Town. There has been 1000 players in competitive games as per link on my website below Thanks Phil. Great work. Just out of interest how do you define "Competitive"?

Everything that Phil said ^ And he should know because he's the stats man!
The system was devised by John Ward, one of the co-authors of 99 Years and Counting. It's a shame because prolific players such as Billy Price almost disappear from the stats. But the line has to be drawn somewhere, we suppose.
A heads up that the 1970s volume of John M. Ward's Private Archive is now available to view. View here.
Coming up with unrecognised picture file errors on my PC with Windows 10.

There was another really good website that I noticed pop up at the start of the season called HTFC Archive, there's actually a link to it from the Heritage website.
It seems to have been taken down recently, does anyone know what happened to it? Seemed to be very thorough and far too much work must have been put into it for it just to be scrapped.
