Daft question, and the answer is possibly yes, but are all these interviews available on the heritage website, rather than just in the matchday programmes?

Sadly, and despite being very well-intentioned, it seems that the HTSA Heritage site is falling behind with tasks like this. I have the greatest sympathy because I know that the upkeep of the website is run on a purely voluntary basis, and people are just very, very busy. But as Lee says, your best chance of reading his articles are to catch them in the programme, especially if the club jumps on him for posting them here and on Twatter.

Surely Lee ( htafcokay ) owns the copyright as intellectual property on anything he's written? If that's the case the club can't stop him posting it wherever and whenever he wants. Unless they've agreed for exclusivity they wouldn't have a leg to stand on. I suppose they could be vindictive twats and just not take any of his output as a punishment but that'd be cutting their nose off to spite their face IMO

I always insert a 'All text © Roger Pashby' line at the end of my articles, but it always gets removed; not entirely sure that they are allowed to do that! I suppose that the club would argue that we are posting pages with their layout? I don't really know, but what I am certain of is that both Lee and I have been warned by the programme editor not to share. We both wait until after the game, so the programmes have already been sold, and I don't put mine on Twatter because I don't use it, but they are all on my website. We will both continue to share post-match until we are issued with writs or whatever, and then we'll just tell the editor to stick it and refuse to provide the club with any more free content; they can fill the programmes with adverts and player interviews/content already freely available on the internet. Let's see how popular the programmes are when that happens...

I'm glad as I haven't bought a program for about 8 years I'm sure them removing ANY copyright notification is illegal, but I've not been "up" on copyright law since PirateBay went down

Well that’s a shame, as I stopped buying programmes a couple of years before I gave up on my season ticket. Having said this, the irregular games I do get to I do buy one. The last book you compiled htafcokay, was a really good read. I’d be down for a copy of a new interviews book.

I visited Graham Bailey yesterday, he's 103 now and by some margin, our oldest living player.
Graham is moving back to Cornwall from Bridlington to be closer to his family, so I went to see him before he goes.
He loves talking about the old days, he played for us between 1936 and 1948, and ran the newsagents on Westbourne Road, Marsh from 1950 to 1958. He moved to Falmouth in 1958 to run a shop there.
His old pal Bob Gordon passed away in 1940 during the War and he was in his thoughts yesterday as it was November 11th. After previous conversations with Graham, I set about trying to find information on Bob and ended up getting in touch with his last surviving niece.
She passed on Bob's football stuff to me and there was all sorts, old diaries, photos and contracts. So I had the idea of taking them for Graham to look at.
He loved it and was reeling the stories off and could more-or-less name every player on all the team photos.
Graham still follows Town's results and says he's worried about us! He hopes we steer away from trouble this season.
It's been an honour and privilege to get to know Graham over the last couple of years and hope he settles in when he goes back to Cornwall.

I have that book to thank for me going into writing more seriously over the past few years. If I print 10 books of the interviews I might just be about able to shift them 😂

Let's see how popular the programmes are when that happens... Thats how I understand it. Copyright is always a bit of a grey area, but as far as I know ( and Ive worked in the creative industry my whole career), when you sell your work to a company you,.( perhaps an artist, writer, photographer) always retain the intellectual copywright on that work unless you have chosen to sell it. Not totally sure what that exactly means but ive always took it to mean the company buys the right to publish the work for a set period of time ( usually set out in a contract ) but they dont 'own it' in a way that allows them to sell it on to some other company. You the creator still 'own it' and are entitled to sell it on to another company unless its specifically forbidden in a contract. So for example if an artist sells a picture to a jigsaw publisher,,for a period of time he couldn't sell it to another jigsaw publisher...but he would be able to sell it to a calendar publisher, because the intellectual copyright of that work is still his. In this case, unless HTFC have a contract that specifically forbids you to publish the work elsewhere then as far as I know they haven got any grounds to stop you.
