Here's some more negativity for everyone that hardly anyone will read.
They may find it a bit Iffy. I spend far too much of my time on all this stuff, and I do get rather offended when I get accused of the things I get accused of. It's certainly not worth the time, effort and expense š Another five interviews to write up over Christmas? Oh, go on then....

Those that are negative towards them/you would never want the responsibility of doing them. Many of us enjoy them, focus on that mate.

If anyone's bothered.

Others (except Dungworth) were before my time or while I was living abroad but I'll still read them. Edit: Welcome back

Edit: Welcome backĀ I enjoyed interviewing Pav, he was a big hero of mine as a kid and that 2003-04 team was MY team. I was so pleased when he agreed to do it. Grahame McGifford, Alan Sweeney and Chris Hay will be interesting as they are friends of mine. Wonder if they will still be friends of mine after the interviews are published? š John Dungworth was of particular interest for me as he was a coach in the 2000s and I remember his time well. In the coming weeks, there might be interviews done with a 1969-70 promotion winner and a 1982-83 promotion winner amongst others. I'll be honest, I want to do a few that aren't necessarily popular. As it will be more challenging to do. Likes of Malcolm Macdonald, Stan Ternent or Terry Austin perhaps? I'll keep on with it.

Terry Austin - much maligned by Town fans but nowhere near as bad as many have made out. We've had some shocking strikers who make him look like Haaland!

Here's the usual dose of negativity for everyone. Second part of Iffy's interview where he talks about his second spell at the club, which doesn't get spoken about that much. Was nice to hear how much of an affinity Iffy has with us.

A great read, cheers Lee ššš Thanks. Glad someone enjoys them. Makes a change from getting abused and being told how negative and how much of "koont" I am.

At the Plymouth game on Jan 13th, there's going to be something happening that the Heritage Project have had heavy involvement in.
And hopefully it's the first of many things like this under the new ownership....

I played against Sweeney a few times in the District League. Maybe you could see if Mick Reid would do you an interview? He was there under Buxton, around the time of Lloyd Maitland. Mick never got a game in the First XI, but had a strong connection to Gerry Murphy and was a coach in the academy before Hoyle pulled the plug.

I had a conversation with John Rudge this afternoon, while he's well known for his association with Port Vale and Stoke City, he actually began his career at Leeds Road in 1960.
So keep your eye out for that one in the near future.

So keep your eye out for that one in the near future. I only saw John Rudge play once for Town, v Coventry on 19 Nov 1966, Town winning 3-1 with a rare goal by Mick Meagan. Rudge moved to Carlisle a month later where he had a good career and scored a lot of goals. I remember him well despite the limited chances he had at Town.

There's been two interviews over Christmas, here is the first one. Lee Fowler played for the club between 2003 and 2005 and he is obviously best remembered for scoring the winning penalty in the shootout of the Play-off final in 2004.

The Alan Jones interview - thought it was OK, worth reading and captures my memory of him pretty well as both a full back and a midfielder. He settled in quite well I think and looked decent but I guess his form mirrored that of the team and gradually declined. Ā£40k was a good fee for him in the circumstances, especially from Halifax Town!
He was diminutive, but quite strong and was never afraid to get stuck in. I think the crowd liked him. That picture of him is against Man City.

Noticed Spurs have started adding a little legacy number on their shirts to signify the players number in the clubs player list in the same way national cricket teams have done for a while. Can see a lot of clubs doing the same now.
Whats odd is that spurs numbers are in the 870s ( Maddison is 873 ) yet theyre about 14 years older than Town..but when I look on the ace database we have our player list goes up to about 1020 by now.
Seems odd weve used so many more players than Spurs , or are they using a stricter criteria perhaps?
Will we do it you think? I quite like nods to history and heritage like that, even if its also a bit pretentious.

My father and brother-in-laws always say 'bloody everyone's played for Huddersfield' as any game we watch there is some connection to us!!

Not sure where to post this but the YouTube channel Buried by time and dust have done a montage style video on the late, great Leeds road stadium š Just wonderful, thank you for posting. So many images! Jumps around quite a bit through the eras and many pictures are repeated many times, but no matter. Was there ever a better football ground than Leeds Road? History and nostalgia are powerful memories and, for me, I would love it that 1965-1972 was frozen in time, and that this afternoon Iād be going to watch the sides from then. Alas not. I hope KN et al sees this. Watch this and how can they not let HTAFC into their hearts and truly understand what this great club means to so many.
