Is it on after the watershed in case that plastic surgeons experiment scares the kids ? That's no way to speak of Queen Mandy. Is the Tuxedo Princess still there. She looks like they used her face, instead of a champagne bottle, when they launched it 😉🤣

Only 2 and a half hours to go until part 1 of the eagerly anticipated Amazon Prime docu-series drops. Is it on after the watershed in case that plastic surgeons experiment scares the kids ? I thought Beardsley had long since left the club?

Only 2 and a half hours to go until part 1 of the eagerly anticipated Amazon Prime docu-series drops. This is why I’m not big on reality TV does football. It’s proving that it’s turning the game into an entertainment industry and moving away from a sporting competition. Every one of those conversations you saw then, they had a camera in front of them every step of the way. Was it staged? Will they air any honest and critical comments they might have made (e.g., fucking snake oil merchant agents). Will other clubs be more careful in their dealings in the future if they know their business is going to be aired to a potentially global audience? Appreciating all of this is retrospective stuff, but it’s all going to by hyped up and dramatised because just like real life, 95% of business and your working life is probably quite dull. I fucking hate it, it’s squeezing every last drop from the football supporter. Want to watch your team live on the TV? Get Sky Sports. Want to watch their ins and outs? Get yourself an Amazon Prime account. You’re not the first club to do this of course, but where does all this sort of shit end?

Hope there’s a town fan on Newcastles forum updating them on Nagles QnA and our imminent Netflix stardom. You're welcome to join and post mate - newcastle-online.org/forum/5-football/ although unfortunately as of yet, no Newcastle fan has created a dedicated Huddersfield Town thread. Because we haven't been bought out by a bunch of sports washing, gay killing despots

This refusal by Newcastle ladies to not postpone the women’s match tomorrow stinks a bit.
I hope it’s not the start of Newcastle (as an organisation) becoming another up their own arse club because they’re not a club with that sort of heritage.
I’ll not be holding my breath though…

One club city and no big clubs within about 3 hours, it's not a massive surprise that people from the city watch the team. The one eyed view of the women's cancellation is typical of how they won't have any outside criticism of their club. Even a team must of them won't have even on known existed a couple of years ago.

Think it's starting to dawn on Newcastle fans that the moral dilemma isn't the only downside of this. Starting to hear some real grumblings of discontent up here. One of my mates is a season ticket holder and is a bit worried about being priced out over the next few years. He already pays over £600 for his season ticket. Now, if he wants to go to any cup tie, he has to commit to a cup scheme for each competition. So if he wants to go to a Champions League match, which he obviously does, he has to commit to all of the home Champions League matches at £55 a match. If he wants to go to an FA Cup tie, he has to commit to all home FA Cup ties at £30 a match. If he wants to go to a Carabao Cup tie, he has to commit to all home Carabao Cup ties at £20 a match. If he doesn't opt in to the scheme, then he loses any priority so would be unlikely to get a ticket for a decent cup tie. Lots of other mates can't get season tickets so are members. Members can enter a ballot for home tickets and everyone has an equal chance, regardless of whether they've been a member for years or just decided to start following Newcastle in the last 6 months. If you enter the ballot, you can't specify which tickets you want - so you may end up being drawn in the seats priced at £74 and have no option but to pay it. I see Super Steve Harper has since deleted their profile, but I think anyone who locked themselves into booking all 3 group matches will be feeling pretty good at the moment. PSG, Dortmund, Milan . Outrageous group.

Think Rangers had a similar Champions league package. You had to commit to all the group games.

Can’t wait for our cup draw for the Snooty’s Pizza trophy.
I’m hoping we don’t get FGR, Macclesfield or Bayernsley…

A great group for Newcastle.
Some proper European Teams in AC Milan and Dortmund (with the exception of manufactured PSG).
Difficult group but much better than having say the group Arsenal have.

A great group for Newcastle. Some proper European Teams in AC Milan and Dortmund (with the exception of manufactured PSG). Difficult group but much better than having say the group Arsenal have. On the back of the 6 point swing out of nowhere against Liverpool the other day, and then drawing Man City in the League Cup, I was say 'not F' throughout the draw once it became clear we were going to be in only E, F, or H once Arsenal were placed due to that TV clashing rule, but the more I think of it, the more I love it and am very excited. Milan and Dortmund are obviously two historic, iconic huge names with great stadiums, and top cities. Paris is a great city too, and yes, they obviously don't have the prestige of the other two, especially for those over 30, and like ourselves and Man City, have been picked for huge investment when it could easily have been a Bordeaux, Toulouse, Nantes etc. instead, but they are obviously an extremely high profile club with some huge names playing, and recently played, for them, and maybe not club, but they are still one of the biggest names around, especially for those under 25. Three amazing trips for the fans, and I'll definitely be looking to go to Dortmund (without a ticket), just for the atmosphere and experience and I've never been to Germany before either. With the things mentioned in the first paragraph, I wouldn't have minded one change, like say Feyenoord instead of PSG in Pot 1, or especially a Copenhagen in Pot 3 instead of Milan just for a better chance of easier points, and an opportunity to potentially use the squad a bit more, because you know that all 6 matches will be a battle / occasion and that may compromise the league form a bit, and while it certainly shouldn't because he's been amazing, an early cup defeat, potentially finding it hard in the CL, and finding ourselves 9th or 10th around Christmas could put a bit of pressure on Howe, whereas having a group of Feyenoord, Leipzig, Copenhagen in the respective pots could have provided a bit more momentum, but after being away from the competition for 20 years, you definitely do want glamourous ties and potentially memorable nights (like the Tino Barca hattrick, Griffin winner vs Juventus etc.) than a group that would look more fitting for the Europa (as you say), and Milan and Dortmund are perhaps not quite as good as their name and history would suggest / expect, so while it will be extremely tough, especially the away matches, there is actually a reasonable chance that we could sneak a top 2 finish.

I'd recommend it, even without a football match. Lived there as a kid and it's the only place out of 5 in Germany (so far) I've revisited since living there. Wouldn't recommend if you're teetotal though

See their fans have been attacking Dortmund fans.
You see this for me is part of the big club debate, Dortmund?, a big Club., a European name used to the big European nights as are their fans.
They will have travelled all over to many a European City. Then they arrive in Newcastle.
Of course it’s a minority, it always is but Newcastle as a club and their fans are not used to the big occasions that big clubs are and a minority of their support don’t know how to handle it.
The sad thing is the majority of good, decent Newcastle fans will feel the repercussions in the away match.

Absolutely shafted by the officials tonight. Never a penalty in a million years. Superb performance from the Toon with no subs. Should be a fantastic game day six.

Stories coming out suggesting that the PIF are now wanting to invest in top flight RU clubs.
UK plc has long been for sale, it it seems like it’s only a matter of time before many of our traditional and long lived sporting institutions are also sold off…

Would they have expected more progress by now? Are they still happy with Eddie Howe? Just watching them currently losing at home to West Ham and wondering what’s going on up there. They’ve not really kicked on and challenged as many predicted. Looking at the team, there’s certainly a few players who wouldn’t get into any of the top four clubs.

Their first season of silly spending was 3 years ago so once they get through this season and that one drops off then they should be able to start going for it again

Surprised by how quick a team West Ham are. Antonio’s work rate is phenomenal. But as for Newcastle, agree that they are hampered by FFP this season, however, they still have some terrific players. Joelinton and Isak both looking good.
