I really liked Kasey, but if at age 25 he is deemed to be not good enough for Bristol City it suggests to me that he hasn't developed as well as he should have. I expected him to be playing in the PL by now, so unless his wage demands are reasonable it has to be a no from me. At 28 Nichols was not good enough for MK Dongs & Luton we’re happy to release Pearson. The system/role they can play is the big factor. What doesn’t suit one club could be gold dust to another.

In the last 5 seasons he’s played over 100 games. Personally it’s a no from me 18/19 he played 34 games 19/20 he played 27 games last season he played 39 games. 3 seasons, 100 games. 11 goals, 6 assists. This season, as terriersyndrome states, frozen out - played 7, 1 goal 1 assist. Still young, clearly capable of playing a decent number of games. Very talented, maybe he just needs a club to show him some love. I can’t find the breakdown of seasons. His stats are all over the place with loans and moves. But since joining us in 2016 he’s averaging less than 24 games a season. Injury prone would be my guess

And his injury record only shows two significant injuries - the Achilles injury he had in his first season with us and a hamstring injury in our first season in the prem.

The lad in the studio said that we’re in talks along with QPR to sign him. They say different on the website, which came out later: Huddersfield enter race for Kasey Palmer Huddersfield have expressed an interest in bringing Kasey Palmer back whilst a host of Championship clubs remain interested.
Bristol City and QPR continue in talks and expect things to develop at the end of the week.
QPR interest remains ongoing and remain favourites.
A number of loan proposals have been declined by City as the player will only leave permanently in this window.www.skysports.com/transfer-centreLad on the panel was talking about Championship transfers and mentioned Palmer with Bristol talking to us and QPR

Don't forget the old adage "When Kasey Palmers in the team Huddersfield always start the next season in the Premier League" 😉

Always preferred Palmer over Brown (think I was the minority) but Kasey always seemed more of a complete player than Brown, where it always seemed to be "in there somewhere" but rarely showed. Can't recall KP being injury prone, think that was Izzy Brown. Palmer was one of my favourite players to watch at Town. Loved his energy, ability to shield the ball and roll players and his footballing brain. If he is fit, then a no-brainer of a signing for me. He would massively enhance our ability to hit teams down the middle as he had a great knack of finding pockets of space.

Was a fantastic loan signing as was Izzy Brown
Both perfect for the 4231, #10 role, key to the transition phase under a manager who got the best out of him & played high intensity pressing football
… but we don’t play 4231 with a 10 or play high intensity football regularly
Where’s he playing?

The thought of a 2017 esque Palmer breezing past players with ease, alongside O’Brien breezing past players with ease, does give me a lazy lob on.

We don't play that currently, largely down to the fact that we don't have good enough, and consistent enough, technicians to make it work. Put a Palmer and an Eiting into this squad and we would start to look a much more threatening side, rather than a dogged pragmatic style which suits the recruitment we made.

Not sure what's going on at boardroom level or what we are looking for but as much as i liked Kasey i think we need get more of a grip in the central midfield we seem to be out fought to much maybe a better all rounder would be a starter for me.

Not sure what you're looking at, unless perhaps you're only looking at league games.

Loved Kasey first time round, I'm just wondering why I'm not excited by the possibility of him coming back?
I'd love him back & firing but is there too much risk, would we get value for money? That being said, I'd love it if he smashed it with us.

Unless O'Brien or Sinani are going in this window, I can't see the point of a loan deal. If we're looking for someone to push us to the playoffs then someone who can carry the ball at pace and score would be a better use of the money.
If it's a loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer when Sinani & O'Brien will probably have left, then it makes some sense. It also gives us a chance to see if he's worth buying, just think if we had paid £1M for Mipo 😲

I think this needs to be on the Transfer Board......but cheers for posting I know that this comes up every transfer window, but why on Earth do we need a whole different board to discuss them, it’s not as if it’s not important, should be here like before. Seems a bit too OCD to have it separate. because of one admin's blind stubbornness - despite overwhelming votes from posters towards getting the transfer thread back to the place it should be - the main board. Not even mentioning just how dull and banter-free this separate transfer page is. Another poll would show that most posters want to revert to the previous transfer thread on the main page system. I don't understand why the admins don't listen or engage when it's so clear.

If we have 20k a week kicking about I would rather we get Thomas and Toffolo on new contracts to keep them here and/or to strengthen our hand should anyone come sniffing.

If we are looking at him I’d think they’re thinking that they need someone who knows the club, will fit into the system, add quality and be able to settle in quickly. You don’t get the same amount of time to bed-in players at this time of year. I think this has been a key learning from some of the worst recruitment mistakes we made.
