Thanks a lot - it's all booked for tomorrow. I looked on Trustpilot in the meantime and reviews were mainly 5*. I'm always up for saving some money if I can! I know the hotel as we stayed a couple of times when we went to Legoland when the kids were little. Brill! Enjoy your day and hope we get 3 points in the bag! I did, and we did! Really easy parking spot to get away from after the game. We were on the M4 within 5 minutes of getting back to the car.

A place near the ground yesterday was charging £15 to park the bloody robbers, we ended up paying £10 five mins from the ground, got away quick too.

Great win for us today, leeds lose at home whilst shitty scratch a draw in Lg 2. A perfect week-end in my book 😃 ....and the massive suffer a 3 - 2 defeat away at Oxford! 🤣 With their ex striker scoring the winner

Couple of thoughts (and I've had a drink - five berry frozen daiquiri, if you're interested - so apologies: 1. Wasn't today an exercise in seeing if we can play 4231 and giving more attacking options? If so surely Turton for Pipa and Colwill/Sarr and Lees/Pearson? I reckon Turton has done OK this season and I think as a more traditional RB he'd do a lot better than being asked to sub in for Sorba 2. If Dean Hoyle is to respond to the challenge to players to give him a problem who would you get that's better than what we've got? Keeper is absolutely sorted. Full backs/wing backs. Pretty much sorted. Like to see more of Ruffles. Toff and Sorba amazing. Pipa has flashes. Turton alright. Centre halves - have bad days, but perm 3/2 from 4 and we're OK CM - Hogg is back and that's important. LOB having his best season. High did really well bar a goal in his cameo for Hogg. Vallejo to come back and always looked mint. Russell is a unit and really good on the ball. Attackers - we now have a ten goal a season striker (bar penalties) when did we have that last? We also have a fit and hungry looking Jordan Rhodes on the bench, Rowe pressing for a recall, and a fairly settled two of four in Holmes, Koroma, Thomas and Sinani. With Aarons somewhere and Grant to play. So where, if you're Dean, do you spunk the cash? In January when it's hard to get value? Turton as not done well at all he’s a liability I wouldn’t even class him toro standard and that goes for High too both simply not good enough at this level

Yeah was so easy to get out. Probably half the reason was their embarrassment of a support 🤣🤣 not a lot of fans to cause traffic congestion.

Ward’s 3rd was a proper, great goal.
He came short to win the header whilst Thomas ran beyond - anticipating the flick on. Thomas controlled it, drew in 3 defenders to make space for Ward to run into before laying it off perfectly, begging to be hit. Ward did the honours.
Really excellent interplay between the two.

I watched it on my phone so it was pretty small - now I feel like a dumb racist 😩

Hope the club bring Patterson in - he's in his prime and would enhance the team no end. But I think we need 2 quality signings to be able to compete with Blackburn and Middlesbrough etc - and also to compensate for injuries which will surely occur during the remainder of the season. Let's hope that Mr Hoyle pulls all the stops out and doesn't allow the team to finish this campaign with a feeble and ineffective effort.

That's now 7 of our last 9 matches where the team scoring first has failed to win. We've scored first 4 times, drawn 3 of them 1-1. We've conceded first 4 times and won them all. The only two exceptions are 1-0 v Forest and 0-0 v Blackburn.
Quite the turnaround given we won 7 of our first 8 games in which we scored first but we lost 6 of our first 7 games in which we conceded first.
Long story short, up to the end of November the first goal almost always killed the game. Since then, the first goal has almost always been a curse.
We're currently on -4 points in terms of points gained from behind vs points lost from ahead (10 recovered vs 14 lost).

More importantly is he a good egg? This dressing room is better suited to young potentials and let CC coach them.

This dressing room contains Hogg, Lees & Danny Ward. Plus a few others approaching 30. You're right to focus on attitude but I never saw a hint that Patterson might be a problem the last time he was here. I think he'd suit Carlos' philosophy down to the ground.

Didn't Dean say that Paterson's wage demands were outrageous, in 2013, when he ended up signing for Forest instead of us from Walsall? I wonder if Forest helped with his wages in his loan here in 2015-16. The change of regime at Forest in the close season of 2016 left us complaining that there was no-one to speak to at Forest if we wanted to sign him permanently and he went to Bristol City instead. I think that it's fair to say that Jamie has never been desperate to play for Town.

If there'd have been somebody around at Forest at the time we'd have signed him

Wasn’t sure where to post this and didn’t want to start a new thread but this match thread seems as good as any.
Just a request that we revert back to the ‘Oh Danny Ward’ song a la Oh Barry Horne, rather than the Danny Danny ward chant that we’re currently using.

I've seen Reading fans who still think our 3rd was a foul on their keeper?
There's me thinking it was just their commentator that was off his tits? 🤔

Highlights and after match comments suggest what a real stinker of a game Toff had nowhere for the first 2 almost identical goals down his flank and lost his man for the 3rd header - thankfully Reading were as bad at the back as we were clinical in front of goal, so its easier to move on without reprisals when we came out the right side of a crazy game. Throughout this unbeaten run in Dec/Jan we have had at times some very good fortune and a fair breeze behind us, good support helps too, maybe fortune does favour the brave and we've seen that of late among a very honest squad of players.
