I don’t blame him for leaving. Paying him less then other people in the academy. Stopping his loan and making him to return. Not playing him

What a shocking miss from the chance at approx. 0:17 - 0:22. Doesn't look great to me besides that - I reckon Boothy would be able to beat him in a foot race. Edit: Personal life Simpson played rugby when he was young, representing Langley school, while also participating in athletics while representing Great Yarmouth and District Athletics Club. He was offered a professional contract by Rugby union club Leicester Tigers in March 2018, but turned the offer down so that he could pursue a career in football. The size of him says rugby union player. I don't think he's got enough pace for that sport either.

From that very short video reminds me of Kienan Davis. Big. Strong. Good hold up and left foot. Obviously not the same level yet just a similarity.

Just asked a lad at work who is an Ipswich fan about him. He said there is talk that his agent got a bit greedy and there has been a fall out with the player so inevitable that he will now leave. 1 year extension has been triggered to prevent him leaving on a free and expecting he will move on. Said he had hoped to see him stop with the Tractor Boys as looks decent and with potential.
Make of that what you will.

The Ipswich fans think differently regarding his pace. www.twtd.co.uk/forum/476491/joe--what-is-your-view-on-tyreece-simpson-(n-t)/

I'd take anyone right now FFS.
The fact that we've only signed Boyle so far is of great concern.

According to someone on Ipswich forum he has a 100 metre in 11 seconds Shows how misleading a highlights reel can be - he looked like he was towing a tractor at times!

TBF to the lad, he looks like he could tow a tractor 🤣

This guy, my Ipswich supporting mate assures me, has all the makings of a £10m striker in a couple of years, lots of natural attributes but needs developing. Who better than Carlos to do this?

But someone who watched a 2 minute clip of him assures us that he's a shit Rugby player with no pace? Now I'm confused 🤔

Reminds me of the lad who came on loan from the USA a couple of seasons back, big fast lad, almost propelled the team to the playoffs (thinking Barnsley for some reason). Edit: Daryl Dike.

I presume he's a B Team option - a la Jon Russell. Ward & Rhodes first 2 choices with Simpson & (assuming he doesn't go on loan) Phillips getting the odd game here & there, with a view to pushing for more regular appearances at a later date.

I thought Simpson looks a better prospect and a lot cheaper as well 😙😉🤣
