There's no excuse for being so unfit at the start of the season. Burnley are match fit that's why they made it look so easy. Terrible starting line up also Danny boy

We need a coach with balls and and a willingness to get players out of the team who wont pull there weight and roll there sleeves up for a scrap. So lets see next game,Holmes and Koroma out for a start and not even on the bench.

Can’t compare ourselves to Burnley. They’ve been in the PL lately and have millions in parachute payments to spend on transitioning their squad. 😩 We had the same parachute money and what did we do ? Hahahahaha our owner sold 75% of his shares to his mate to obtain that money ( which should have gone on as you put it transitioning the squad) and a few years on he’s back has the CEO the same old egotist and after the 75% shares for pittance what a genius business acumen 🤣

It's quite worrying when your entire team looks knackered after 20 mins of your 1st game of the season. I only realised Russell was playing when he got subbed off. Game totally passed him by. Holmes and Koroma beyond useless. Thomas well off it. REG done by 60. Ruffels looks out of his depth. At least the subs gave some life to an otherwise totally lacklustre and frankly embarrassing performance. Tino was the only threat really... can beat a man, sometimes two, and drives forward. He'll be our player of the season unless he gets injured. This^^^ I truly believe he can be a legend of a Town player. Just needs starting regularly

Absolute waste of time, 0 shots on target - terrier spirit? DH feels we should be aiming for equal or more than last season, whilst cutting back? Shocking.

So lets see next game,Holmes and Koroma out for a start and not even on the bench. We have a squad of 21. Kasumu is already injured, Aarons is still injured, Pearson is in a pot and we have sent our only alternative midfield player out on loan.

Tino & Rudoni bright spots in the game. Other than that, we didn't look ready for the season.
First half was really poor.

Very much Barnsley vibes right now.. Hoping for a huge turnaround at half time with some of the new players.. The 1987-88 lookalike shirt doing the business 🙄😉

Wow that was bad
Having a preseason consisting of games against league one and two opponents and changing the entire side for each half means we look a million miles off the standard - they looked leggy and couldn’t handle Burnley’s press, movement or passing
Very concerning that I’m afraid

Id love to know how you come to the decision to not make a sub at half time after one of the worst performances you will see from a home side.
When you only have three it is understandable but with 5 available that was such a poor decision. We effectively wasted 5-10 minutes of the second half continuing with the same players making the same shocking decisions they had in the first half.
I know it wont be but if that was our back 4 for 46 games we would finish bottom. A simple ball lofted down the side of REG got them in behind countless times. I know he did well for Rotherham but he looked a long way off tonight and Ruffels is simply not good enough. That foul throw summed up his level of decision making

Schofield says Kasumu has done his hamstring and Pearson will be out for months. Who’d have thought signing an injury prone player would’ve led to injuries. Glad that O’Brien money has been well spent so far

Ppl going on about last seasons Fulham result, this was far worse for me.
No cohesion Ball retention non existant Lack of fitness lack of ideas Carlos even at the start if his tenure here would of seen in the first half Holmes and Russell been over run in the middle Scoffa failed to identify it, which is coaching ppl
Worrying times for us this
I'll back Scoffa and keep going to games but that was really really bad. Front to back
Everything what could of wrong for us this summer since the loss to forest has.

A ridiculous pre season schedule, lacking any sort of proper preparation. At least we played teams nearby so saved on travel costs.
