They played together loads last season? Most notably in both play off semis… I know but, IMO, they shouldn't have. Interesting. Respect your opinion, but you might have to lower your standards a bit this year 😂

I'm going. I fully expect this to be the game that secures top away ticket priority when we return to the Premier league in the year 2046.

Anyone that was key to a team finishing 3rd is fantastic to me. Bit like some who say they didn’t want Sinani back - at this level - not sure what more you want Totally agree about Sinani, but you couldn't play both him & Holmes - I'd have picked Sinani over Holmes all day long. there were loads of worse player combinations in that team last season. We won a lot of games with Holmes and Sinani together and I don't think they got in each other's way particularly- not the most creative attackers but brought a lot in their own ways and are both hard workers. They did both have types of game where their weaknesses were magnified though.

Maybe even a fit Anjorin or Rudoni might have done it...

Won’t be anywhere near the place tomorrow, or on Saturday, they can stick it for me! Is this really the toughest time you have had to endure as a Town fan?

It’s nowhere near the toughest times, but after last season it’s a very disappointing. It’s to be hoped the new signings just need bedding in and are going to come good in the next couple of weeks.

Division 4 Huddersfield Town were when I started supporting them back in 1980 so I guess I can’t complain too much about being in The Championship for a good few years now ! I believe we’ve never been at the bottom of Division 4 but did have a temporary period second bottom of that Division around 1977 or 1978 - but even God forbid if HTAFC ever ended in The Conference I’d still be there twice a season all health being well to support them !

My first game we lost 3-1 at home to Portsmouth in the old 4th division. 1979. So the last 30+ years for me have been mostly gravy.

Since 1966, there have been some 'difficult' periods.
This is one of the better times, not the best of times, but nowhere near the worst of times.
Charles Dickens was writing about Town apparently.😉

It’s to be hoped the new signings just need bedding in and are going to come good in the next couple of weeks. That is completely rational. My question was to Melc who had said 'Won’t be anywhere near the place tomorrow, or on Saturday, they can stick it for me!'. That seemed really over the top given some of the really difficult times the club, and we supporters, have been through over the years.

Me too. Someone has got my seat though. I have had to move down a row!!! I think you'll still manage to get a seat.

start grant and I'll be happy Grant, Rowe, Mahoney, Jones. I would hope to see two of those feature tonight. Perhaps ironically, the fringe players I'm most excited to see will be competing with the two first teamers who - for me - have emerged with the most credit in the opening two fixtures (Tino and Rudoni). From another standpoint - and in terms of the needs of the side - Etienne Camara could be interesting.

don't care if we lose tonight but all of us want to see some fight and passion tonight especially if it's the 2nd team show players like Holmes koroma Russell (based on the 2 games for Russell) that you are better than them

If Grant doesn't get on the pitch tonight the lad is better of asking to leave, at the age where he should be playing and if we can't give him a go in a cup quite frankly nobody gives a shit about then he might as well pack it in.

Well I have supported the club for 63 years and obviously seen tougher times, but after all that has gone on since Wembley I just seem to have lost that desire to go and watch the team, even though I have a season card. I missed the Burnley game due to being on holiday, so that’s where I am at the minute.

Wow, that’s a shocker. Can’t be much more than 6-7k? If I had a spare 5 minutes I'd count the sold seats but I think 6-7k is very optimistic.

Hopefully he's up to it and he can come in to replace Ruffels. Disappointing that Diarra is injured. I imagine it'll be Schofield in goal tonight which will be good for a laugh if nothing else.

Chapman has been selected on the bench for the last 2 fixtures. If it's not Nicholls, I'd say Jake Chapman is favourite to get the nod.
