What, you mean like the club have done from the day one? Yes, everyone at the club wishes to lose every game, be relegated, lose large amounts of value in its playing staff and millions in championship revenue. Wibble, wibble.. I hope those are clean underpants and blunt pencils

Can probably see a max attendance of what, 5/6k? Chapman or Bilokapic Spencer | Yuta | Boyle | Ruffels Camara | Russell | Holmes Mahoney | Rhodes | Koroma Hopefully will see Grant get some minutes. I will be there! UTFT

Definitely need a win for confidence if nothing else but also to get to the next round of the competition - otherwise why bother taking part in it...
Probably not the best tie in these circumstances but wins breed confidence and Stoke on Saturday could go either way, then it becomes a little bit more tricky as August wears on to get points on board so I think a win tomorrow would be an important early season changer for sure...
I’m many miles away from Huddersfield but if I lived in Huddy I’d be there after a wee pub crawl cheering The Terriers on as always when in Yorkshire...
So Come on ye Terriers and get that first win of the competitive season tomorrow v Preston North End !

Nicholls Lees-Hogg-Nakayama Thomas-Russell-Holmes-Ruffels (ideally need LWB) Anjorin-Ward-Rudoni I think this is our strongest XI right now assuming Nakayama is as good as reported, get Sorba at RWB/RM again and allow Anjorin + Rudoni to roam and be creative between the lines. No it isn't, Holmes is in it.

A win would be good for morale whatever the starting line up is, won't be too disappointed if it's a loss though.

Really don’t understand the slander. 1) he didn't have a fantastic season and he hasn't "only been as poor as the rest", against Burnley only JK was up with him for being THAT awful. 2) he's too small, weak and slow to play in the middle of midfield, especially with someone alongside him that's movement is glacial.

Suggest everyone attending drinks heavily before during and after the game due to the heatwave(summer).. The of inappropriate shorts and fat lads taking their shirts off has simply added to the fear of climate change. Gonna be a nice evening, winter is coming...

Starting seems to be an issue for him and us.

big difference between not a bad late sub & having a fantastic season The team coming third was the fantastic season. Many players had fantastic seasons, the difference between 3rd or above was that some players were adequate. Holmes was one of them. In a poor season or struggling season adequate needs to be much better.

I think Holmes is needed atm. Not saying he is as good as LOB but he does a lot of the same things: energetic, carries the ball, closes down and generally acts a nuisance. Id like to see him paired with Hogg or Russell if we are going with two in the middle because i think he would provide that balance.

The only thing with that is the nearer Holmes gets towards his own goal in open play, the more likely he is to give the ball away cheaply. This is the same with Thomas, Ward and Koroma, plus Sinani last season as well. If you're going to play Holmes as a midfield player he really needs to be part of a 3, but I realise that at the moment we are short of bodies in that position especially with the ridiculously early loaning out of Scott 'F' High!

Bit like some who say they didn’t want Sinani back - at this level - not sure what more you want

Bring him on late on to make a nuisance of himself, but remind him that he should've been sent off almost straightaway the other night.
