Much improved performance from Town and a welcome three points. Hopefully that result will give everyone a bit more confidence.
I think it was a far more even game than some others seem to do. We took our chances, Stoke didn't. That was the story of the game.
Hopefully, we can build on this and look to turn our season around. We still need to improve alot, but getting that first win is a huge monkey off our back.

Schofield made his subs at the right time - Tino was out on his feet after an hour and Holmes was the perfect replacement. Ruffels has had an awful start to the season, but was much better today. Hoggy, Lees and Nichols back to last season's form and the new lads look like they've actually trained a bit this week.

wasn't able to follow it today but saw the lineup and had a feeling we'd win it, going back to a 3 looks to have worked then? was it as good as the scoreline looks? Close enough game but we put our chances away and they didnt, obviously the missed pen was a turning point and they got severely punished for it.

Well done Duane Holmes. What an impact! Only on pitch for half an hour but my MOM. Definitely has more impact coming on against tiring defenders. If he starts, he tires as quickly as the opponent cos his little legs have to work harder. Rudoni MoM for me, but nobody had a poor game. Thomas can be frustrating when things don't come off, or when he makes poor decisions

Was Holmes offside on the third goal? Looked miles off from down the other end and I was just waiting for the lino to flag

I just wish he went back to distributing the ball more accurately. This season he just cracks the ball long rather than looking to build from the back.

Excellent competitive performance and reaction after results so far & response after equaliser - Competitive, terrier like, aggressive
Game ebbed and flowed missed pen, offside goal etc but also thought they had ref in their pocket
Didn’t think they deserved that penalty - excellent save. Bit of luck in aftermath but earnt that
Credit for sub when we made it when they were dominating - criticised Holmes Tuesday but he made a difference and swung the momentum back to us - small detail but came with a tactical tweak as well which stopped Baker getting on the ball so much
Yuta did well, Rudoni excellent & will be a star, Kessler-Hayden did very well.

100% better today. Think Danny used the right tactics from start to finish. The subs were brought on at the right times and all made a good impact. UTT!

Credit where it's due to Town today. Much more effort and commitment...more cohesion all round. Seems the harder you work the more luck you get (penalty save, 'offside' goal...).. We looked more like the team we saw last season although still some work to do on tidyness in possession.
Maybe having the grass cut short made the difference too, but more of the same please..great to hear the noise from the fans again !

Not sure if those posting Thomas and Ruffles are shit went today or are arm chair bedwetters but they both put a shift in today. Suspect both will go on to do really well.
Good support from the fans helped today, from the off. There is no substitute for positivity. Well done Danny and the lads. Really good game and great to come out on top.

Looked miles off from down the other end and I was just waiting for the lino to flag Just seen the highlights and he was a way offside but just felt like the game was going to give us the rub of the green. In fairness that linesman was dire and their penalty was soft so it did even itself out. Two big key moments went for us and its a hugely important win!

Felt optimistic when I saw that line up…I think that’s our best team and formation without a shadow of a doubt. We actually pressed with some intensity today. Stoke were very poor so we shouldn’t get too carried away, but I liked what I saw and those players looked like they were putting a shift in for Danny. Chuffed to bits for him. Onwards and upwards!

I think that's mainly because Ruffels and Turton struggle with the ball at their feet in a back four, whereas this time last year, Toff and Sorba were usually available as wing-backs. Hitting it long to Ward is the safe option and paid off considering today's result.

Good win in the end for the lads. Same referee awarded a penalty last season against Sorba Thomas v WBA. Showed the same qualities today, never a penalty, today or last season - Matt Donohue, doesn't like us!

Take your point re: Ruffles and Turton, although I think Turton has improved alot in possession.

Well deserved win by the better team
Hopefully that lifts a cloud and we now kick on
Schofield got his team selection and subs spot on. Holmes made a big impact

Never seen a ref do that without warning and seemed like he was waiting for the first chance to book him

He did better work than Sorba who needs to use his left foot occasionally (if playing on the left side).

Does anyone know how to pick Radio L**ds post match report from outside DAB transmission area or is it time for another complaint to the BBC. There should be no excuse for not providing multi-channel Internet broadcast as it shouldn't cost much and they are beyond the restrictions during the match. Usually pops up on the listen again west Yorks Sport page a few hours after broadcast. Usually linked from WYSport twitter interview posts

We needed legs in the middle Rudoni gave us that and more (not a winger) If Tino is match fit I'm mo Farah he was blowing out his arse after 20mins. Great save for the pen Great result UTT

Ridiculous.
