I'm gonna be very disappointed if it's not Wagner, at this point! No matter what happened, it'd make following Town (and even the post-match interviews) really engaging again. He really is something special. Totally agree. Get him back.

No rush for me. Chicho's personality and back to basics approach will be fine for a while yet and should be good for raising the mood around the place. I think Wagner coming back would do that a lot as well, and I'd be more than happy with it just for romantic reasons. But simmering beneath that I'd also be thinking DH is out of ideas bringing his old guy back.

Maybe there is a reason we are waiting. The rumours are strong that it’s Wagner and also that there are contractual issues to sort.No one knows how long we will have to wait should we be waiting for the contract to play out. It could be weeks yet before he’s in the building potentially, hopefully Saturday was a sign of improvement and we can manage until that point.I don’t think the guys taking it now need to do absolutely loads to get on the right side of a few results. We are by no means at the same god awful levels performance and spirit wise we were when cowleys took over. Guess we just have to wait and see as irritating as that may be Our speed at sorting out 'issues' is historically poor. Maybe if its Wagner and Dean really wants him, he might gee this up a bit.? The time without games is probably as, or more important than time with games coming thick and fast, even for Dave?Saturday isnt fooling us, I hope not anyway, as the previous defeats were not as bad as some painted them. Another factor is that Helik, Mbete, Yuta, Anjorin, Jones, Thomas and several youngsters are all away on international duty so if we appointed somebody today, he wouldn't be able to work with half the squad until next week.

If we want Wagner then everyday extra is a bonus for him. A few games later we have the world cup and the break then will be handy but immediately after is the window. Everyday here from today gives whoever it is longer to liase with the management, the coaches and the players for a busy period and then the chance to make big changes to everything over a month of inactivity and the chance to do business that all are happy with in January. This odd idea that the longer we wait the better the choice will do isnt sacrosant or true.

If the likes of John Eustace are in the running then Bromby really has been talking Bullshit.

Hope not. He’s gaining a bit of a reputation for being “difficult” on the touchline with his antics, similar to the Cowleys

Surely nothing in the Brady links, not worked with any top coaches to learn off.

Only six weeks till World cup break from restart with a huge 11 games to fit in that period, would be a big call to let Chicho continue on........but then, getting the right manager is a lot bigger call.

Haven’t they done similar articles about Warne and Schumacher? Probably just trying to drum up some business for the bookies.

I reckon some of those linked have applied for the job. Unless we’d dismiss an application out of hand, which would be unprofessional and counter productive, it would be hard to avoid some of these links.

Far too many names doing the rounds (whether any truth in them or not) that are insipid, uninspiring and would be met with apathy by the fans.

I'm not 100% sure Wagner is the best footballing decision though (although as a fan I'd have him back in a heartbeat). Is it worth essentially writing achieving anything this season waiting for him to come back? I know that ship's sailed most likely as it is but it's not impossible with the right appointment
