It wouldn't even have been given as a free kick at the other end. Im all for more robust challenges, grabbing Rhodes around the neck seemed to be ok as well today? We ended up with 3 or 4 bookings today, worst challenges were on Nyatanga and Rudoni, neither were even given as a foul? The offside when it was so clearly played by a Cardiff lad and then their centre forward was actually standing still 3 yards offside for a long ball, allowed to go on. If we win games this season we wont be helped. The offside bit that clearly came off the Cardiff player, me and my mate were off our seats but apart from a few other claims from the crowd, appeals were muted. Has there been a rule change or something because if the ball comes off an opposition player then you're onside.

Great win and three points. Besides that we were awful. Big job for the new manager. We have zero quality in midfield. According to that clever cu!? Bromby we are fine. Really ? Quote duncfost01 a few hours ago: ”Always somebody. I post positive. Some people are just never happy.” you really are a penis. Clearly you watched a different game to me. Prick.

Start another poll mate If you think Bromby has given the next manager a decent squad to work with then clearly you know fuck all about football. This is a weak squad. We never control the game. Why? We don’t have enough quality.

When you only have 33% of the ball at home it is always going to be tough to call it a good performance. It generally wasn't but the points were what mattered

You talk some right shit mate. No quality in midfield? Kasumu, Holmes & Camara were all brilliant today Zero quality he said. Candidate for worst ever poster on DATM? Zero quality in middle I stand by. Work horses yes. Quality no.

Much better workrate from the lads today. We pressed them, we looked to get the ball forward early & turn their defence. Thought we defended the box really well, midfield was outstanding & Rhodes up front worked his arse off & got a well deserved goal. Scrappy at times but overall much, much better.
Camara deserved his motm but everyone put in a real shift.

The keeper booting it rather passing it out effects the possession stats I noticed that during the game and thought it made a nice change. Won't always work or be the best option, but it's a damn sight less risky than always trying to play out from the back (see Swansea's 3rd goal today where Hull trying to play out from the back cost them a goal)

We were much better today, pressed the ball and supported each other for once. They had a lot of the ball but we weren’t battered by any means. Considering what we’ve been served up so far it was exactly the sort of performance we needed.

Cardiff were shite, barely threatened us. Thought there fans were shite too, barely made a ripple. They got dressed up in their best, brushed their tooth and combed the last of their hair all ready for their day out and literally gave up the moment they arrived. I don’t think we’ll see a poorer team or away fans this season tbh. Blackpool and Wigan were both worse than Cardiff, in fact they were abysmal still can’t believe we lost to them , both will be in the bottom six this season, imo.

Great performance by the Team today. I thought Kasumu, Rhodes and especially Camara were absolutely phenomenal.
Just a shame its 3 weeks until we play Hull! That's definitely 3 points for the taking.

Good old DATM. Wigan loss runs to 22 pages. Second win of the season runs out of steam at 10. There is a message there somewhere.

What happened to the days when visiting Ninion Park was feared and the boys sang like sons of the valleys? Piss poor that. Reminiscent of the standard Tuesday night visit from Charlton.

Todays game was quite a bit more sedentary. It didn’t include a penalty that was scored. And we didn’t concede after drawing level. And. And. And. And. And it was protracted by the DS sacking. What’s your point? Is there now a minimum and maximum threshold for discussion? Thing is, you think you’ve been quite observant and clever here by trying to make out that most posters are only here for the drama. But you’ve actually gone looking for the drama where there isn’t any….

In my 50 years a Town fsn, Cardiff have brought numbers once, c2004? They were on a run and it was a night match They used to get 2000 at home in the 4th division. Perhaps the most fickle fans in football, considering the size of the place and the fact they're local rivals are 40 miles away. None of that bothers me, we probably take next to fuck all there, but they and the press seem to think they are some big bollox fans that steamroll over clubs like ours. And its total bollocks.

Enjoyed every minute of that today. Wasn't the best game, but to see someone make 'risky' decisions was a breath of fresh air. To start Camara and Rhodes. Brave. Did it work? 100% Bench Sorba - imo this should have been done 2 or 3 games ago. Leave Russell out completely. Sending the message out that you have to work for the shirt. 1st time this season I felt we look structured. 4 minutes added on and I was fairly confident Cardiff wouldn't threaten. Well done Narcis. Clean sheet was probably the best thing today behind the 3 points. Nichols deserved it. Fans fantastic. Well done everyone from the fans to the staff. Re : your first sentence, I agree, but fuck me that 2nd half seemed to last forever 🙄

Anyone know why Yuta wears red boots for the first half of a game and white boots for the second? Noticed it on Tuesday and again today.

It just made me realise how quickly people had stopped commenting. That hasn’t happened for quite a while post match. Do you think I am wrong that the complainers post more than the positive posters?

Zero quality he said. Candidate for worst ever poster on DATM? Zero quality in middle I stand by. Work horses yes. Quality no. Give it a rest. It was never going to be perfect after the start we have had & no head coach. But we were as efficient as we possibly could be, we won the game & kept our first clean sheet. I also felt a turning point within the atmosphere of the stadium - everyone got behind the team because you could see they were giving that bit extra. Positives outweigh the negatives by a country mile.

Basics yesterday. Shows Pelach knows what state the confidence is in and wanted to make life easier for players who are clearly struggling.
Players understood exactly what he wanted.
Players working together and fighting for every ball.
No inviting unwanted pressure by losing the ball in silly areas.
More direct but with a lot of clever passes in behind the Cardiff full backs. Good use of substitutes when they looked tired.
We lacked quality at times but football is about results. And we are desperate for the points.
Well done to the coach and players

Where was the 2nd penalty that moany Morrison thinks they should have had? The free kick on the edge of the box just before half time, could have been inside??? The coming together probably was just inside, looking at the reply I don't think if was a foul as the guy seemed to turn into Rudoni. Not sure why we don't seem get fouls/penalties in the same way other teams do.

Anyone still questioning our old-style long ball yesterday and lack of possession stats should read Narcis Pelach’s comments in the Examiner article regarding Jordan Rhodes starting:
“Danny Ward as well, which was a difficult decision to make. But I spoke to them yesterday and said ‘look, we're gonna do this because I think that it's best for the team. We’re going to play long and I want to put the ball into the other end (of the) pitch.”
It was all in the plan...
