And as if by magic....the shopkeeper appeared. TBF Keith, I think you've moved a whole thread rather than one post. This disrespectful poll doesn't deserve to have people believe it merits 30 pages of discussion. Not in the vicinity of being impressed by MF but this poll plain and simply isn't fair. Thanks for spotting that Andy, that's what happens when you don't have your right glasses on. Fixed it now.

Its a football forum you illiterate troll There are some very delicate, sensitive people around these days. They can't just ignore something that's not of interest to them, instead, they prefer to get "offended" and even start to cry.

My worry is that Narcis walks before he does Who clearly knew one of the main faults at Town has been defending, ok Cardiff were no world beaters but Chicho installed some basic no nonsense defending to achieve a clean sheet & a WIN ......take note MF. And realised that Russell should be nowhere near the team.

…and another 3 managers have been sacked this weekend. So what?? How does that relate to Huddersfield Town? Are you suggesting that we will be a better place by sacking a manager after one game and less than a week? Calm down dear, I’m not suggesting that at all. In my earlier comments I clearly say that I think Fothers will be with us next season.

The bloke deserves a chance but the fact that this poll was created shows what a sorry bloody state we've got ourselves into.

Didn't vote because 'who knows?' but he won't be here for long if he keeps taking our best player from each previous game and dropping him for the next.

I know you've said you think he'll be here next season but have no idea why you thought the poll was helpful to anyone after one game.

And in all this turmoil DATM has completely forgotten (or felt it's too pot/kettle) to take the piss out of Notts Forest. At least MF has achieved something.

If we win a couple of games will there be a poll for him to replace Southgate??
Its fucking ridiculous...
I dont believe he spent the week working on us giving Reading at least two, likely 3 goals?

I don't think any of us want him to fail..people are just concerned with this appointment
We will all get behind the team in the stadium regardless of our own personal opinions on here
However you look at it you have to wonder why a championship club which is on the brink of a relegation scrap would give the job to an out of work number 2 which no one has heard of
He wasn't even on our radar..he chased us
The players must be thinking who the fucks this guy??..looking at his empty record!
How on earth can he inspire them??
Our recent manager had experience under bielsa in this division and you couldn't call him green when he arrived
Talk of playoffs in the interview and I'm not her to make friends etc
It's the worst appointment since malcolm Mcdonald

I think the fact that they've given him a contract that runs until the end of the 2024/25 season suggest that the club are seeing this as a long term appointment (long term in footballing terms). Otherwise they would have given him a contract till the end of the season, with a 12 month option.
Unless he absolutely messes it up, I think he'll be with us next season regardless

Fotheringham has been given plenty of time to keep Town in the Championship and no doubt will strengthen the squad in January
Survivil is vital and feel he should be replaced if relegated.
Dean Hoyle will also play a vital role to his backing

I think Mark Fotheringham in all likelihood will be here until at least St. Patrick’s day unless results really stay pretty much the way they are ( and I sincerely and obviously hope ma fellow Scot is here a helluva lot longer as that’ll mean he’s guided HTAFC up the table a good bit) - but he’s only in the door and none of us could have realistically expected anything at Reading and anything is also unlikely at Luton tomorrow night either...
He talks about liking aggression in his team’s and January will offer him that option as I don’t think a team with Town’s budget can really play their way thru The Championship with skilful, silky fast flowing football...
I’m hoping The Hull City Match is where we can muster up a hugely much needed three points and see if that would install a bit of confidence and belief in the playing squad for some better results in the run up to The World Cup break...
I think we could maybe judge him a bit more accurately at that point rather than just one game !

This appointment has got to be close to the most reckless in Town's history or the greatest piece of foresight ever. Hopefully it is the latter but I think the former could well be the case. It is clear that MF was the cheapest candidate on offer but that could be a false economoy as relegation will deplete Town's funds even more. I reckon if we are still in the bottom 3 by January he will be gone. It does have a feel of 1987-88 and remember we conceded 100 goals that season. At the very, very least with Schofield we seemed to lose by the odd goal mostly yet in his first game in charge MF managed to ship 3 without reply until the last minute consolation.
My God how we have fallen since last season.

I can understand league 1/2 clubs taking this route,,but a championship club that has been in 2 playoff finals in the Last 5 years is absolute crazy!! 'You don't know what you're doing' Will be ringing out next Saturday He even spoke about the playoffs in his interview...it will be my 5th on the bounce if we do!!! ...total disrespect of the division like its so easy It's soon to be the end of the hoyle era! For all he loves and has done for the club he hasn't got a clue about hiring a good manager and lives in this crazy bubble obsessed with german football,,and all you have to do is hire a second in command and that's it!!..hey presto success!! Time for a change at the Top Did he really say that, cause I think at least two of them were relegation playoffs!! Not really something to boast about.

I think he was referring to experience of being under pressure. Largely, I think a lot of what he says is just him talking himself up because he knows that none of us had heard of him 10 days ago and he's trying to reassure people. Problem is, to me it makes him come across as insecure. Understandable, but not something you'd crave in a leader.

I'm certain its just a joke, no one would surely want a manager sacked after two defeats in charge. I feel MF has a really tough job on his hands managing Town , I just hope he is up to the job. I really hope MF can reverse our poor form at the moment , the last thing we need is the man to fail like DS, and is replaced after 9/10 games. We desperately need some stability at the moment, I was worried by the appointment of DS and I am concerned that MF may not have enough experience at this level , however he is an unknown quantity, and hope he proves my concern way off the mark.
