Come on atleast be a little realistic. Getting a result last night was lucky, simple as. They scored 2 of our goals and the other was a soft penalty. Schofield didn't get anything like that go his way. They had 20 shots to our 4 and on any other day we get stuffed. He's only 1 week in so can't even be judged at this point but anyone thinking last night was an indicator for an upward trajectory is a little deluded. If anything it confirmed we're seriously up against it this season for survival. it was massively lucky the way we got our goals. But in our general play and approach to the game, it felt like something was a bit different to the other games this season, like the players actually knew what they were meant to be doing. Just calling it as I see it, can't get more realistic than that ...I did't see the Reading game but last night was nowhere near any kind of worst performance (which many seem to think Reading was............) it was a reasonably poor show, with some glimmers of decent play here and there, about what I would expect a bottom half side to display......which is a bit depressing compared to last year, but if we keep improving we should be clear of relegation come the New Year....

Interesting, I think we will close to relegated if we keep this manager by then. I’ve seen nothing to suggest he’s the answer but let’s see how his first home game goes Sunday I guess.

The guy has had what 5 training sessions over 3 days and inherited a poorly performing team. What on earth are people expecting. This is the problem with sections of our fan base (thankfully small). Assume if it was pep in 5 training sessions he would have turned Holmes into messi and Lees into Maldini!

Absolutely and what an opinion! I am glad it's a minority one otherwise we will finish this season having had 30 managers

Good point last night but I’m still in the doubters camp. Didn’t go to the game but the game stats would suggest we got very lucky and when you consider 2 own goals and a dodgy penalty I struggle to see how that can be debated.
Great that Sorba has found his mojo again but so much reliance on dead ball situations will only get us so far. I guess as long as it takes us to 4th from bottom this season I’d take it.
What’s most concerning is some of the goals we’re conceding which have demonstrated some of the worst defending I’ve seen in all my years watching town. Hopefully Pearson back soon.
Still early days for this manager and a big job on his hands. I’m sceptical to say the least but if he can cut out the exceptionally silly mistakes at the back we might stand a chance of getting out of this.

Foddy evaluation / appraisal.... All a bit early, me personally thinks - first evaluation for me is after The Swansea City match before The World Cup break... (hopefully he’s still there and improving HTAFC).... Thereafter let’s see where we are come St. Paddy’s Day !

Which of the expert pessimists on here predicted a 3-3 draw last night? 99% of predictions on here are way off! Talk about glass half empty.

Not at all, I really hope I’m wrong league 1 would be a complete disaster. I’m not going to have a go at you for your opinion, I respect it mines just different that’s all.

The score line was better V Cardiff. Performance not so much. Rode our luck. They score the penalty they probably get another 2 or 3.

If we beat Hull he’s a hero and play offs here we come. If we don’t then bailed on bottom and L1 and he should resign. That is how DATM works.

Difference being we weren’t second from bottom and shipping goals that a junior team would be embarrassed about

I can see 4 prior to the replay being played at just after 4 minutes.

Add Luton at home in the play offs into the mix with Rhodes' winner and that's a pretty great return.

Thomas’ assist stats early in the season were incredible. As were goals for defenders. That rebalanced a little later in season 4 in 6 games. We currently need to score 4 set pieces per game to win so whilst I take your point, you’ll hopefully see where I’m coming from

Had it not been for a certain Man Shitty player in defence, we might have won 3-0.
Overall it was a very good performance compared with Fothers’ first game when the players didn’t even turn up. Today, I feel more confident about this season, but still prepared for the drop in the worse case.
Whatever happens, Fothers is very likely to be with us at the start of next season.
