Did he really say that, cause I think at least two of them were relegation playoffs!! Not really something to boast about. I think he was referring to experience of being under pressure. Largely, I think a lot of what he says is just him talking himself up because he knows that none of us had heard of him 10 days ago and he's trying to reassure people. Problem is, to me it makes him come across as insecure. Understandable, but not something you'd crave in a leader. Exactly what I thought too Nothing against him personally though

Sad to say I’m not convinced at all, seems a great guy, very hardworking, very ambitious but not a single thing he’s said so far has given me any confidence he’s not going to be a complete disaster. I also wonder how the hell a 38 year old with no experience at all is going to get the confidence of the players. To be fair he’s still in job interview mode trying to convince everyone he’s the right man for the job, maybe that’s why his interviews seem to be a bit light on actual information about how we’re going to go about picking up points. Maybe it’s just me, actions speak louder than words after all so hopefully we’ll see an improvement on the pitch in the next two games. The Reading performance has me very worried, I wasn’t expecting much but I also wasn’t expecting the worst performance of the season.

Very important game tonight. I wish Fothers all the best, but another performance like Saturday and perhaps Wilder or Cooper or Wagner will be waiting in the wings. I doubt Dean want's to see his investment disappear so unexpectedly and quickly. UTT

I presume that's a joke, but with the state of some of the comments from fans surrounding this club I'm never quite sure. I'm certain its just a joke, no one would surely want a manager sacked after two defeats in charge. I feel MF has a really tough job on his hands managing Town , I just hope he is up to the job. I really hope MF can reverse our poor form at the moment , the last thing we need is the man to fail like DS, and is replaced after 9/10 games. We desperately need some stability at the moment, I was worried by the appointment of DS and I am concerned that MF may not have enough experience at this level , however he is an unknown quantity, and hope he proves my concern way off the mark. Would "Watford Chairman" be too predictable a response?

One game so far and the manager is on a 3 year contract. He’ll be here till the end of the season at least. If we go down it’ll be him and bromby out the door IMO.

It has only been one game so far, so too early for me to say.
On the evidence of one game it was not good, his team selection was poor and if he took advice on the team he needs to consider that someone else is trying to get him the sack. Tactics were poor and I was not impressed with his substitutions, so not an auspicious start to his Town career.
He needs to start to upping his game.

He’s an absolute blagger but he’s what we’ve got. He’s hampered by decisions made before he got here like the loans in and out and players played into bad form by bad tactics.
It’s down to the players, he desperately needs Hogg fit and onside to drag them all along with him.

Not a chance he will be sacked, regardless of whether we're going down, it's clearly shit or bust with this guy.

Massively better attitude and performance, but our defence is almost non-existent. Need some changes in personnel.

The guy has given absolutely everything for this club and for some shouty nobody to come in and be the big I am must be difficult.

Starting to warm to him a bit now. Good energy in his post-match interview.

The OP reads as an inside scoop but could easily be speculations - I have no idea. Would’ve thought Hogg would relish someone putting everyone through their paces but it obviously needs to be done in the right way.

Hoggy wears his heart on his sleeve and has sweated blood for this club. In the heat of the battle if anyone ( young or old ) needs calling out then he does it.

Who'd have thought it? Turns out one game wasn't enough to judge him on and he's still working out his best team!
There's no chance we came away from that with a draw if it was any of the other games we've played this season, our heads would've dropped and our first half performance would've been too poor. For the first time in a bit I can see us climbing out of the relegation zone.
Also thinking about the players who aren't here. I can see Hogg working very well with this style of play, dunno why but I can also see Mark getting the best out of Koroma.

I think he deserves quite a bit of credit for playing Jackson, Camaraderie, Kasumu and Mbete in what was quite a tough and physical game. Yes I of the 4 was a bit of a disaster but thought the other 3 did really well. He said in his first press conference that he liked to give young players a chance and this he has done

I can see MF as been someone who will watch in-depth the players on loan and wouldn’t be suprised if more than a couple were recalled in Jan and given a change .

Getting a result last night was lucky, simple as. They scored 2 of our goals and the other was a soft penalty. Schofield didn't get anything like that go his way. They had 20 shots to our 4 and on any other day we get stuffed. He's only 1 week in so can't even be judged at this point but anyone thinking last night was an indicator for an upward trajectory is a little deluded. If anything it confirmed we're seriously up against it this season for survival.

If anything it confirmed we're seriously up against it this season for survival. it was massively lucky the way we got our goals. But in our general play and approach to the game, it felt like something was a bit different to the other games this season, like the players actually knew what they were meant to be doing. Just calling it as I see it, can't get more realistic than that
