Call me a killjoy but how inconsistent are the standards on this forum. We have to have an annoying subboard to discuss transfer targets and rumours because it’s deemed almost ‘off-topic’ but On the main board we can allow the main ‘wagner’ thread to descend into chats about bloody curryhouses. Keep clicking on the thread thinking something worthwhile has been said only to discover it’s a new recommendation. And most importantly, it’s bloody unbelievable that no one has mentioned…. The royal Delhi In brighouse; superb value and portion sizes 😋 great rant!! still mumbai spice or akbarrs on leeds road in Bradford For a sit down curry Orinoco is right, Akbars on Leeds Road Bradford is amazing. Even Her Maj had a ruby in there one time, got pics on the walls to prove it. And their Lassi is the best out there and is sold in supermarkets and corner shops, absolutely yummy

I haven't been back there since I got a garlic chicken balti and it came with whole cloves of garlic sat on the top of the curry 🤷♂️ My vote for best curry is Bangla in Birstall, take away from there is usually pretty shit but when you sit in it's really nice.

I’m the opposite, the longer it takes the more I think we’re waiting for Wagner to be sorted out. No curry tips to share with the group, apart from if you’re ever in Australia don’t bother ordering one.

If you've no decent curry house near you try aktarathome.co.uk/ theyre very good, made by a michellin starred chef. Not had a single curry from there that hasn't been nice.

Even so their food's nice, I lived through the 70's and 80s (when food hygiene was SO important) so I'll probably be okay

"Unless you want Thai, don't order a curry" were his exact words.

The royal Delhi In brighouse; superb value and portion sizes 😋 I went there and had the Usain Balti. Gave me the runs. (my recommendations end at the Sher-e-Punjab or at a push the Shabab, not had a comparable curry in 30+ years, would rather eat my own made curry than anything I’ve had from a restaurant or takeaway, they seem to have transformed into something bland and unadventurous that tastes like it’s from a jar from Morrisons🤷♂️). Sher-e-Punjab.. The lamb special in there was truly something else , never had anything to compare since . If I could cash in on the brass I spent in that place I'd be a rich man (two or three times a week).. How the fuck did they make those onions sizzle like they did ?

If the rumours of DWs delay is due to severance pay from his previous club then the more I think about it the more I think he'll be coming back. It's been 9 days since Schofield was sacked, you'd usually expect an announcement within a week.
I'm quite comfortable with Narcis in charge until it's sorted so I'm not too worried about the delay, but I'd definitely like to see the new coach in place before the world cup break. It'll give him chance to take a look at the players & then a month long mini pre-season to get his ideas across.
Hope if it is Wagner it's not just a deal until the end of the season, we need long term stability not a short term fix.

I need to stop drinking, I was convinced I’d clicked on DATM but in fact I’d landed on a curry review site.

Ive heard those rumours but I dont really understand why him taking another job would effect any severance pay hes due from young boys. Unless he resigned , which I presume he didnt and was sacked.

I'm speculating, but I think it's quite common place that after being sacked the manager continues to be paid for a certain amount of time until he gets another job. Pretty sure that was the case with us and Siewert. Maybe Wagner is trying to negotiate a payout if he takes the Town job now, as technically it would save Young Boys in the long run.

Loving all the curry recommendations. But the best curry by far is my neighbour's or friends' and colleagues' home-made ones during Ramadan for their Iftari. Taste completely different to takeaways. Especially when they cook them bone-in, always more flavourful even if you spend longer eating coz of the bones. All this curry talk has made me want one for dinner, luckily there's City Road Fisheries just up the road, chicken masala here I come

Ive heard those rumours but I dont really understand why him taking another job would effect any severance pay hes due from young boys. Unless he resigned , which I presume he didnt and was sacked. All speculation but... Some coaching deals are structured so that when released, they simply continue to pay on the regular monthly basis, they're effectively on gardening leave for a notice period which might be as short as 3 or 6 months, or could be the full term of the outstanding contract. If he then wants to take up another role, then that would need to end and they'd need to jointly agree a severance fee, which might be contractual and therefore straightforward (and could amount to something likely between £0 and the full outstanding amount due if he was continued to be paid to the end of his contractual term - LIKELY to be something less than the full outstanding amount though), but might be a more drawn out discussion piece, and could be hand-tied to an extent if there are clauses like taking on a new job before agreeing a compensation could forfeit the right to compensation. I guess there's a hint that maybe we can't afford to pay him quite what he really WANT's/NEED's/EXPECT's as a reward, so we need to allow him to negotiate whatever he can out of Young Boys to make our offer more acceptable? That we're maybe supporting him by not just moving on to the next in our list, might buy a bit of extra loyalty & commitment in the longer term? (or might not!). As I say, speculation. It would be really good to get someone in ahead of Monday though so we can have one consistent approach leading in to the Reading game (this first week of the international break it probably doesnt really matter who is in charge, they'll be doing fitness work primarily rather than anything particularly tactical or strategic football wise - hence all the time spent at LBU on Monday re-baselining compared to when they reported back in summer).
