I’m not sure jackson at RB is the answer as he’s very left footed. If everyone else is fit then I’d go with
Nichols KHK. Lees. Helik. Yuta Camera. Kasumu Holmes. Rudoni. Jackson Rhodes

Little known fact...Yuta takes more dangerous corners than Sorba, as we'll see on Wednesday. The issue with that is that Yuta is also very good at heading goals from corners as well and he can't do both at the same time. I'd let Jackson take them first, assuming Mahoney isn't playing. PS: I do know that Yuta is a dead ball specialist. Matty Pearson would be able to take the corner and head it in

That sounds like a 3-4 month minimum layoff if surgery is required. Not good as there are 9 more games before we can make any signings

The Turton injury presents a bit of a dilemma for MF. The Villa lad is clearly the best option but if he's frozen out for not training well enough then will Brodie Spencer get a shot?

Jackson Rhodes I think it’s generally been said that Jackson is genuinely very two footed. Will all depend on whether he thinks kessler Hayden is up to it.if he is and he plays imagine Jackson reverts back to what looked to be wide of a 3 behind ward on Saturday. If Jackson goes right back I hadn’t thought it’s likely holmes and Mahoney both play either side of rudoni.

Mahoney's confused, he's not sure whether he's a professional footballer, or a Rugby League prospect - UTT.

Would like to see Kessler Hayden coming back in. Thought he looked fine on his debut and first few appearances. Made one mistake against Blackpool (it happens to everyone) and his performances fell away after that. Maybe a confidence problem for him?

wonder if Pilchard is still having problems with his recurring Cyst.? He was miraculously cured upon taking the job at Sunderland! ‘Not actually anything wrong with him’ can be a debilitating illness for footballers though. We should try to raise awareness by booing him when he’s on the ball.

As we will have both the right sided players out on Wednesday maybe KKH on the wing? He played RM for Mk Dons nearly all the games he played. With Spencer behind him KKH could drop back and give decent cover given he has played a lot at right back. He does look more like a wing back so maybe he could do a job as a winger for Wednesday.

Jackson Rhodes Jacksons been very good on the left. Thought he coped on the right, but thats what he was doing.. coping.. rather than looking particularly comfortable there. I think he'll go to 3 at the back in Lees, helik and Yuta and have Jackson as left wing back and Rowe as right wing back.

Nichols. Spencer Lees helik yuta Kasumu camara Holmes Rudoni Jackson Rhodes.
I could see kane at RB. But Spencer has been infront of him on the bench so you would presume his chance is now.

Keep Sunderland away from the lofty heights of 16th place in the table, no matter the cost.

Keep Sunderland away from the lofty heights of 16th place in the table, no matter the cost. Crazy league. If Sunderland win they could move to the top half of the table with a couple of winnable matches against bottom half sides to come before the break, but if they lose, it'll be 1 win 9 and with Stoke playing Wigan, could find themselves just a point above the drop. Very congested. With not too much happening in the Champions League, especially involving the English clubs, I'll definitely be tuning in to the match on Sky, although a shame it's not the featured one.

As much as I agree it seems that ship has sailed, Russell appeared on the bench on Saturday could mean he’s picked up in training where as no KKH could mean he’s still frozen out, If MF has fallen out with our only other RB(that’s not a young kid with a hand full of appearances)then it’s his job to find a way round this Turton injury and can’t be put down to squad depth…I’d put Aaron Rowe in there personally, even if he maybe seen as more of a winger.

Well, those results last night emphasized what deep shit we are in. Saturday was the first glimmer of hope but lose tonight and genuinely I think we're gone - based on how really bad we've been again some really poor sides and how unconvincing MF has sounded. Win tonight and I'll just start to think I might have been wrong about MF. Hugely pivotal game.

It’s a key game tonight and it’s one we must try to win. Sorba will be a miss and I hope he realises that some of those bookings were avoidable. But he is still young and is form has been good after a slow start.
Feel ward and Rhodes have to start scoring.

Setting off for the game in an hour. Flight from Belfast this lunchtime. Hopefully it's worth it..! Edit: I saw a post on here the other day, about our 4-0 League Cup win over Sunderland at Leeds Road. They were in the division above and filled the away end. That was one of the memorable games when I was young. There were some decent cup games back then (Forest, Man City, Arsenal, Carlisle, Blackburn etc.).

I also remember winning a cup tie at their place too. I think Phil Starbuck was among the scorers. Have a safe trip.

Win tonight and I'll just start to think I might have been wrong about MF. Hugely pivotal game. Win tonight and we are ten points off the playoffs with a game in hand. I’m not suggesting that we have any chance of getting near the playoff but just demonstrating how tight the league is this year. We also have 30 games to play. That’s 90 points to play for. Even if we lose tonight there is plenty of time to get out of trouble.
