Not quite on the scale of Saudi Arabia's result but if it stays like this it's another embarassing one for Germany. Surely they can't balls it up two WC's in a row?

Lucky for Germany they're not in a group with another European powerhouse.
Oops.

Germany have Spain to play in their group as well. Lose that and they're probably out.

I don't think you could say that was lucky either. That was their game plan all along, score on the fast break...

The "father" of Saudi Arabian football was apparently Jimmy "The Chin" Hill.

Allways a right handfull and competitive are the japanese, they rode their luck at times and made Germany pay dearly, just wish our man could have been there to be a part of it.

Spain setting themselves up nicely to put their foot on the throat of the Germans.
Japan beat Costa Rica on Sunday, Spain could knock the Germans out of the tournament after just 2 games played...
It's quite possible that we could see both Germany & Argentina exiting at the group stage.
Without looking at the permutations, I'm presuming that wouldn't make England's qualifications any easier? (assuming we get through the group stage)

Germans torpedoed by Japan, would U believe it.... If the Germans fail to win their next game against free-scoring Spain, they'll get Das Boot.

Im very interested in the Canadian team. They are the best team in North America and are built to counter with tons of pace/dont want to have much of the ball. Have watched them a lot and they score against the run of play with regularity.

How is that offside? A Belgium player passed it directly to him.

Laryea has always impressed me and he's languishing in Forest's reserves.

Somebody writing in the Telegraph was saying that the rest of the World has now caught up with the bigger teams... how right he was.

If its deemed the defending player plays the ball backwards under duress etc then the forward player is offside, in this case belgian under no pressure plays a shit pass, backwards.

Yeah surprising from a player of Davies quality. It wasnt for certain that he'd play today a couple days ago. Should have given the ball to a more in form player.

That's another shite rule then, surely every player on the field is trying to put the opposition 'under duress'.
