Until Diarra came on we were garbage, let's not sugarcoat it. However, all that matters now is winning games, in whatever way we can manage. If, by some miracle we can stay up, Dean should be able to sell the club & we can, hopefully, move onwards & upwards. We finished the first half well. Once we got our confidence up second half we were much better, even before the goal. If we could reproduce that last 20 minues for 90, consistently, we would be a match for any team in this division. If we can get a home win Thursday we will start to get some belief back. Rudoni's set pieces were excellent as well. |

And both wins away, so if we can settle at home there might be cause for a little optimism that we can climb away from the bottom 3. Home support has a big part to play. And 7 pts every 5 games is mid table form every season, which given the opposition and the injury list in those 5 games is decent. People on here just like to wind themselves up spouting negativity. |

Why? They played with spirit and fight all afternoon and the subs had a big impact. 3 points away at Deepdale. What more do expect from him? You’re right however spirit and fight is the absolute bare minimum I expect. What more do I expect? I expect him to coach the team such that they look well organised and pose a threat going forward. I expect them to be able to pass to one and other and creat chances to score goals and have shots on target through open play. It would also be nice if he could stop falling out with every fooker cos we’re in a relegation battle and need everyone available, especially our best players. Also be nice if we could score some set pieces again as we did all last season with the same personnel, and defend them properly. Also learn how to change things to suit the opposition or the way the game is going, if it’s not working, change it. All things you expect from a quality championship coach and what you absolutely need when you have a tiny budget and weak squad. Really pleased with the three points but I just don’t think he keeps us up, we might bumble along and pick up odd points here and there but I don’t think it will be enough.I think he will, if this group of players can keep their confidence up, but nobody will know for sure until the end of the season. |

Great result. We dont get much at Preston, we dont usually come back to win from a losing position and our form has been poor of late.
All these factors add up to it being a big big result whatever you think of some of the players or our current coach. Kudos to those with the commitment to make the journey hope you had a great day out.

Whether Sorba has fallen out with MF, or is being sold, or something completely different, it cannot be good that our only hope of scoring is from set pieces & our best set piece taker isn't in the match day squad. That being said, maybe I'm still pissed from last night, I actually think we'll score at least one goal from open play today! It was never in doubt I always knew we'd do it. Yep, me too, predicted the score. For those wishing Fothers out, be very careful what you wish for. He’s been handed a very poor hand of cards and situation, yet he always thinks positively. He’ll grind us out of relegation. |

Been very critical of MF.
At first I thought he improved us defensively which he has but in recent weeks it’s been to the detriment of our attacking output.
4/6 points from the next two would make a huge difference to season, confidence and expectations.
If Rhodes plays 70 mins every game and with a bit of creativity (Diarra and the version of Rudoni today) he will outscore Ward comfortably and he may get half a dozen between now and the end of the season.
Today we were poor until the goal but we stayed in the game and got the win…. This is all that matters.
I still don’t think he is the man we need but he can’t be criticised today.

We will start well.. Dominate possession but create feck all.. Preston then score with 1st attack.. And cruise to a comfortable victory..
