This signing had a very strange ring to me, from the start to the finish it just wasn't right. He arrived injured, we then quickly changed manager- played a game then was never seen again. Bit like the lowton signing , just never really impacted the squad in anyway. Then the final pictures in the dressing room against Sheff u and Qpr neither to be seen. I get a feeling they were told to stay away after a few week of NW arriving. When you think of the squad places taken up by signing injured players - beggars belief really. It does the amount of signings , this last season that hardly played / were sent back or a mixture of the two is bizzare . Normally ratios of signings sucess are higher . But you can say that Kasumu, Rudoni and Helik were real "sucesses" as such. The rest were the odd moments.

Re Knockeart, I think there is still a player there. If he gets himself fit, he could still do a decent job. Whether or not it's consistent at Championship level I'm not so sure.

Why he's done the square root of fuck all and isn't getting any younger ! Need experience players, he may come good. The club is desperately trying to rid itself from bad eggs, charlatans and people that don’t care about the club. Warnock came in and it needed every player to buy into it and fight to get us out of it. He was the only player that wasn’t interested in what Warnock had to say, so why the hell would keeping him be a good idea?

He was a good idea at the time I suppose, he has played some good games against Town, he was a big name at 1 time, think we all got a bit over exited expectation wise!!.

He's not really my type. Fat middle aged blokes probably aren't his type either TBF.

It was more hope than overexcitment for me. We were truly in the mire and he went missing when he could have could have contributed.

An absolute, unmitigated disaster of a signing. Arguably one of the worst in the club's history. Thankfully it didn't make a difference.

Those are up there with the worst of the worst signings. Knockaert didn't work out but I think you've gone massively over the top.

I would love to hear the argument that he was as disastrous a signing as Pritchard, either half of Diabenza, Terence Kongolo et al. His signing was a minor disappointment. In a season where we signed Mbete, Kamberi, Mahoney and Lowton I'm not sure he's even one of the worst in the last 12 months.

I'd say that he was a 'disaster' of a signing, yes. A high profile player signed at a point when we desperately needed some creativity, who barely played any minutes due to a combination of factors. He was a 'disaster' for different reasons to Mbenza, Diakhaby and Pritchard etc. In terms of him being 'one of the worst in the club's history', I did use the word 'arguably'.
