AK is (I believe) an example of a player whose speed is in his head, making up for lack of pace in his legs. I think it would (for us) be an excellent signing.

Haha! That’s the fucking same excuse for all the players we’ve signed who are crocks; we’re not going to sign them and say ‘no matter, even when they’re fit they’re going to be ineffectual’. We get it. You fucking love him. But you’re arguing more with yourself than anyone else - you could condense all your thoughts into three sentences in post. He’s not even ‘half-fit’ looking at his stats. He’d struggle to get through a third of the time on this division. But you can’t deny the lads crocked. Clearly. Otherwise he’d be in a better team in a better league playing more more football and we wouldn’t get close. The appearances tell you this. Nobody is debating his ability. But it’s clearly a massive gamble to pin all out creative hopes on him. The point i am making , is we are linked with this player who has proved himself at this level. The first thing we do is talk about injuries etc but can anyone think of any better options out there who would even talk to us? The second point is we have signed some players who were injury pone to death throughout there career, even when fit they did not have the same effect as this fella does. We persisted with players who even when fit were not worth it , He has still played a fair few games in the last two seasons , this isn't a player who has just come back from a major injury or something. Plus to be fair to your point , we struggle to keep players fit as the best of time, Our medical team need to be thinking about what we do, hogg comes back and plays 4 games and his calf goes again. What strength and actual conditioning goes at at Huddersfield town? so yes i understand the concern , but i have seen some of the names linked to us and you think omg even when fit he is rubbish . You’re literally arguing with yourself. Have a read back, and nobody is questioning his ability. Nobody. Only you seem to be picking a fight with yourself.

I think people are going to be surprised when they see him play just how far short he is of the player they remember. Completely ineffectual for Forest and Fulham last season

Knockheart and Ashley Barnes? Bromby’s black book of ex players must have come to an end and he’s now using his 2005 Panini sticker album.

Don't care if they old and past it, if they come in for six months and keep us up, job done and they can be released

He cannot be any worse than what we have sorry he jsut can't be, we are second lowest goal scorers in the division for a reason. That reason been the amount of, quaility of chances created are poor. The players we have are not good enough to take the odd chance we creat that is decent, the facts are there in table form. If he does not addd anything to what we do ad be frankly shocked, if he does not add more than what we currently have been doing, then we might as well give up . I mean who else is out there that could be less effective than what we currently have ? If him , barnes and lawton are the starting point of our jan signings , then at least we are trying it seems .

If this is true then I recon it’s a decent signing.
He’s most probably not the player we all remember, but I bet he is more than good enough for a team sitting 2nd bottom of the championship and in need of some experience and creativity in the final third

To get the best out of AK, I think he needs to feel loved and important. Therefore, with him being a Frenchie, I suggest that on meeting him for the first time, Fotheringham should shower him with two kisses on each cheek. Just to re-emphasise the auld alliance.
It's all about man-management.

If AK is as injury prone as people say he is these days, then he will fit right in with the others .

We can't expect him to be the player we remember terrorising us & his playing time recently is poor. On the other hand, how much does he have to do to be better than Mahoney?

I think with Rudoni doing well out wide , AK could be that link between a cf like a 10 player who picks it up and finds the passes. then we will see if he is still quick in the mind .

He has played one 90 minute game this season and scored 1 goal. Injured almost the entire 21/22 season at Fulham and missed 4 games this season. How is he going to handle the sort of physical games our lads play week in, week out. We have enough injured players. We will end up with as many medical staff as we have players at this rate.

Don't owrry LB says we have the best medical staff around, therefore they will have done background checks on AK. They will know how to tailor training for him etc.

What an appalling signing if true - I wish people would get in 2023 not remained trapped in 2013; players age and get worse. They don’t stay the same quality; he’s played one 90 minute game in about 2 seasons. We have NO pace in our team, that’s our main issue. No one to stretch or run in behind the opposition. It’s hard to be creative when your have no runners off the ball.

He’s also played 370mins so far this season

Who do you consider having pace in our team, it’s patently obvious we don’t have enough of it. My friend is a scout for Swansea, went to a game with him over the Xmas period and he said this team lacks pace in the right areas. I agree

Been one in pretty much every one of his stupendous cameo performances.

If it wasn’t for Bluebells’ posting history, I’d deffo make a claim they’re Knockaert’s agent.

AK is only 31 years old. Feels like he has been around forever!
I haven't keep tabs on why he hasn't played much recently, anyone know why?
Could be a decent signing, we need some experienced heads around
