My mate who is a fulham season ticket holder said he’s dreadful, but let’s hope he can reinvent himself at the age of 31! For me, it’s shades of Puncheon during the relegation season, but I’d be more than happy to eat humble pie if I’m wrong. Did you tell your mate he'd be fine , as we are fucking dreadful also ?

Good luck lad, you have never been my favourite opponent but I'm right behind you now.
Forestieri next?

Let's hope he's more Barry Horne than Jason Puncheon.

Looks like a trend here. My mates a Fulham fan and he says he is dreadful . Kamberi. My mates a Wednesday fan and he says he’s dreadful. Let’s hope neither get a run in first team bearing how bad they are! Much like Town fans will have been saying about Arfield.

If he was 25 and fully fit, he wouldn’t be at Town. He’s going to be better than what we have even if his best days are behind him.

Statement of intent to fight to stay up. Like with all signings, ridiculous to write.a player off until we’ve seen him in action. From seeing him previously, he’s direct , skilful and will win loads of free kicks. Looking forward to watching him. But that's what we saw of him 3 or 4 years ago, he seemingly did nowt at Forest and has barely played in the last season and a half. tbf nobody did anything of note at Florists while he was there.

Not to have too much of a go at your mate, but there are only a few groups of fans whose opinions I'd value lower than Hipster FC

Have we gone back in time?
Undoubted quality player …3/4y ago
Assume he’s fit?
Doesn’t strike me as a MF sort of player - does MF now play more offensively?

It's funny how football works sometimes.... Lolley was average for us but had a great spell for Forest,Hefele was great for us but didn't do much for them,Toffs and O'Brien were great for us but haven't done much for them.lets hope Knockaert does great for us!!

MF has always reckoned to want to play offensively. Maybe the defence needed sorting first or he just hasn't had the attacking players available. Let's hope he has now.

This is potentially one of the most exciting signings in the last 10 years or so…. However I was equally excited when we signed Majewski but that didn’t work out amazingly.
I wonder what the opinion would be if we signed Kevin De Bruyne or Riyad Mahrez who are playing better than ever before (World Cup excluded for KDB) as these are both 31!

There would be plenty on this forum who would find fault, fuck me they’d suck the life blood out of ya, far too many Colin Robinson’s on this board!

On top of the Lowton signing, will do for me. If we see even shades of the player of 5/6 years ago, he’ll be better than most of our team. Could be the player to get the fans out of their seats and not in a negative way. He shouldn’t be past it at 31 either.

If he can get 8 goal contributions betweem now and the end of the season, thats a great bit of business.
Whether you like the signings or not...wins change moods.

I'm hoping his contribution will be more about winning free kicks around the edge of the area than scoring goals.

Difficult signing to assess really. A very good player in the not too distant past but clearly his career has petered out a bit in recent times. But hes not so old that he cant get back to something like the player he was if hes motivated and committed enough.
Think with Lowton you pretty much know what youre going to be getting, but with this guy it could be anything.

Bentley was referring to goal contributions, not goals scored. I'm not expecting him to score many, but he might create a few.
